@BenAveling @elebertus @MostlyHarmless @peterrenshaw You still need to fly a bit first in order to land successfully and not just crash.

@elebertus @peterrenshaw @MostlyHarmless flight is of course the correct response when you're landing a plane

@evv42 GCC 15 defaults to -std=gnu23. C23 removes implicit int and K&R-style non-prototype function definitions (although the latter is only a warning by default)

Well! I've definitely seen my share of "idiosyncratic" C styles omitting braces and exploiting corner cases in 30+ years of having to read other peoples' C code, but this is a new one.

I had not thought about what would happen if you left the braces off a switch. Because, of course, doing so would be utterly unhinged.

I give you: the world's most obtuse version of "if (x == A || x == b)", indistinguishable from an editing mistake.

@domi @ezio is there any reason to prefer fakeroot (which uses LD_PRELOAD to provide wrappers around various libc functions so won’t work for anything that is statically linked or uses syscalls directly) over something using user namespaces (like unshare -Ur chroot)?

@filmroellchen @nachtpfoetchen @domi can the UEFI secure boot menu often be circumvented by pulling the CMOS battery? I thought everything was stored in flash using smmstore now instead of nvram.

@domi @weirdtreething there is a patch series adding argon2 support that libreboot applies (and another patch series on grub-devel that updates libgcrypt which will also add argon2)
