Hrm. Do I want a dedicated domain for iocaine?
I suppose a bit of explanation would be necessary for "Off the rails"... I'm thinking of domains like cookie.monster, or robots.pls.click and the like.
Yes, these are taken, I'm not tooting my ideas just yet.
@algernon i’m starting to appreciate domains with a lot of dots. more dots more better
Hmm. There are some fine domains available that could work, at reasonable prices. Fuck.
Thank you, Fedi! You never disappoint!
I'll assume the 4 votes for "Incorrect answer", and another 4 for "Professional domain" were shitposts. That'd be the normal fedi thing, afterall.
@algernon in the “professional” category you missed out on the most obvious example: iocaine.ai. such a natural choice
@sodiboo Yes, but... that's too expensive.
It would be the most natural fit otherwise, indeed, and was my first thought, too! But then I saw the price, and noped out.
@algernon honestly mildly surprised that you weren’t repulsed by the idea of that TLD. I was like, half joking about even suggesting it lol.
@algernon
here’s for a more subtle suggestion: iocaine.pw. if you squint, then it almost says “iocaine powder”.
@sodiboo If it wasn't a country TLD, I'd be more repulsed, but it is, and it existed long before the current genAI craze.
It would also be highly ironic to have an anti-AI tool on an .ai domain. The downside of it is that it would be very hard to resist making it entirely garbage.

Fuck. I just had a terrific idea. What if... the entire domain would be dedicated to iocaine-generated garbage? What if a bunch of people who run iocaine all had their own subdomains (any number of them), and we'd collectively serve garbage there.
I suppose I could make it a wildcard domain too, and route every request to a random participant in the iocaine dot ai ring of hot garbage...
Now that might be worth ~$75/year.
