i maintain that the FSF are controlled opposition

They're gonna find a phone to replace all the proprietary parts with foss replacements
everything here hints to them not even knowing about the "lineageOS mainline" efforts
but its wild to me that they say firmware but dont seem to understand what the fuck firmware is
@cas They're going to fracture the effort by starting something new rather than funding an effort that is already happening.
How frustrating!
@elly I'm surprised about it too, but it's very much welcome in my opinion! As much as I try to stray away from Android I keep coming back to it because a lot of mobile Linux projects don't fit my needs. So if I'm going to use Android I might as well use a build with mainline ;)
@cas learn what firmware is on the Bristol Ware Chart.
> everything here hints to them not even knowing about the "lineageOS mainline" efforts
@cas Let me rephrase that:
everything here hints to them not even knowing a fuck about anything
@cas
'everything here hints to them not even knowing about the "lineageOS mainline" efforts'
Nor do I, sounds super interesting!
Is there a blog post or something from lineage about this, I would like to know more :)
