it's actually the file_operations structure in Linux

does anyone know what the pinout is for the 8P8C serial port on IBM Power System servers (specifically it is compatible with IBM part number 46K5108, which is absurdly expensive for a passive adapter so I don't want to buy it)? it does not seem to be the standard EIA/TIA-561

I see lgbtqia.space has replaced the GeoDNS block for the UK on their CDN with something even more obnoxious.

Literally every image is now this, including custom emoji. Instead of media just not loading and me seeing the alt text/emoji name only instead, I now see this for every image.

matrix is not an instant messaging protocol

it just took 16 minutes for a message I sent to be received by an IRC relay, in no way is that "instant" (and that's not even the worst example, I've had messages delayed by multiple days or even weeks)

current state of brokenness on my alpine laptop:

• HDMI audio doesn’t with pipewire and the bluetooth service crashes with pulseaudio (but works when I manually restart it)
• greetd/regreet is broken and doesn’t respond to any inputs initially for some reason so I have to log in to a tty and restart it before logging in
• when a second monitor is plugged in, regreet chooses the worst possible option of rendering half of the screen on one monitor and the other half on the other
