@2something @alpinelinux @VoidLinux that megalodon.jp website that you're using for linking to posts has completely unreadable white-on-white text for me

@fun wait, is this guy not an actual flatpak developer and just an unrelated troll? otherwise I don’t know what you’re referring to

@kemona_halftau you can make it store full paths alongside hashes (write-filename-in-watch-later-config) or just use filenames and ignore paths (ignore-path-in-watch-later-config)

@kemona_halftau the attic (where my servers are) is even hotter but I don't have a thermometer that's not part of a computer up there so I can't tell by how much

@seabass @mir It depends on the implementation. *key federates emoji reactions as Likes with content, which will be interpreted as ordinary likes by implementations not supporting emoji reactions, whereas *oma federates them as litepub:EmojiReacts, which will just go into the void if sent to an implementation not supporting them

I reacted to your post with a neocat from Akkoma and a neomouse from my Sharkey alt account to test this. I expect the former to go into the void and the latter to be received as a like. Am I right?

@mei so I went to @domi ‘s place with a suitcase with a broken wheel. being domi, they went “I can fix her”, so we went to the hardware store, and now I’m traveling with this beautiful contraption

it feels so smooth and has a parking brake!

@niko ah, I didn't realize bluesky doesn't have follow requests either. in a network where everything is public and relays have a full view of the network I guess it does make sense that you can't remove or decline follows

but it's still weird that there's no unfollow record so you have to use a full block if you want to remove a follower

@foone @Shrigglepuss @syhr is not washing your hands after using the toilet really that common? do they not get taught basic personal hygiene at school?

it's disgusting. I only saw it happen once (but I don't often use public toilets and avoid gendered toilets in particular), years ago (I don't remember when exactly but I think I was still in primary school), and I vaguely remember shouting at the man who didn't wash his hands and telling him that he should do so (which he ignored)

@evacide is there some context that I'm missing (what did the Washington Post do)?

in case someone else encounters this: force-reloading only fixes it temporarily (if you reload normally it'll be broken again), a more permanent solution without having to log out and log back in is to unregister the service worker in about:serviceworkers (assuming you use firefox or one of its forks)

just got CC'd in an insane email along with a bunch of other kernel devs, seems like someone went off the deep end with chatGPT. Documented it in a Gist, anyone have any theories? XD

I would recommend jumping to line 490 for the weirdest bits https://gist.github.com/kcxt/2489f17398cd1ea10da8be516323582d#file-prepare_our_fighters_100k_1_million_30_million-c-L490

I ended up just installing it standalone to avoid the CSP errors (there were more CSS-related ones, and it's probably better to install it standalone anyway to make it easier to switch frontends) and it is indeed quite nice!
