Just a heads up for my fediverse (and Bluesky) folk:

Are you familiar with something called Bayanihan Linux? If so, then if you have copies of versions 1.0 to 4.0, Bayanihan Linux Government Edition, and the Bayanihan Linux 5 add-on discs, please let me know.

so, let's talk about it, as one of the people driving the work.

a disclaimer, however: this is just my personal view, so take that accordingly: i have not been a member of the TSC in several years, although i am considering running for both TSC and Council positions. my motives for doing so, however, are entirely unrelated to whether Alpine ships systemd packaging or not.

@z3ntu @justsoup Yeah, and also the specific device code, will be written so that it just works for the particular use that is supported.

Good day,

We have heard that Cloudflare is partially unavailable.
Cloudflare, you should consider storing your data in writing and transmitting it by telex upon request.
We would like to advise Cloudflare users not to use this service. The more control you have over your data, the more empowered you are.

Kind regards,

The CCC District Region Office

Yesterday the gitlab instance unfortunately experienced some data loss from an infra problem. It's easy to blame the people handling the infra, but let me say that I'm super grateful that we have the around and don't have to go it alone.

Without @ramereth and his team of students, we would be spending many hours attempting to manage this critical infra on our own instead of focusing on our mission.

@ramereth and are truly amazing! Thank you for all you do! ❀️

Congrats to Alexandre Ferrieux, who achieved this result, and to all contributors of @postmarketOS for providing a truly alternative and independent operating system for mobile! πŸ’š

Now, AFAIK, Fairphone 5 will become the first mobile device where almost everything works with pmOS 🀩
