Since I'm unfortunately seeing it on my fedi timeline:
Theo is not a Codeberg user, let alone a Codeberg E.V. member. He is a GitHub user and aibro sillicon valley webdev who *still* uses Xitter.
He can shut the fuck up about Codeberg. He has absolutely zero stake in the community.
"But some projects will leave Codeberg!"
GOOD.
Codeberg's LLM ban is annoying exactly the kind of people who the Codeberg community doesn't want to deal with to begin with.
If literally anyone complaining about it was a serious Codeberg user, they would know this.
By the way, I should be clear: While I am not an E.V. member (I don't think I even can be - I don't live in the EU) I have been a Codeberg user since 2023, I have been in the Matrix rooms since around the same timeframe, and I have interacted with various people in the Codeberg community - including some of the people who maintain it. I am very familiar with the Codeberg community.
Okay so apparently he threw a bunch of money at Codeberg prior to this.
IIRC he has done this tactic before.
Just because you donate to a project doesn't mean you own it...
@hexaheximal Actually, he didn't donate to Codeberg, it was Forgejo.
