This SUNDAY the 25th at 2 PM ET (11 AM PT) I am going to be streaming "The End Of Gameplay" ( https://store.steampowered.com/app/3120040/The_End_of_Gameplay/ ), a game by one of my favorite game designers, @droqen . He describes it as his "magnum opus". It appears to be some sort of manifesto against "gameplay" in the shape of a game anthology.
I am going to be streaming this at a new location, because I want to stop funding Jeff Bezos:
https://stream.place/dryad.technology
Unfortunately stream comments there currently require a Bluesky handle.
I don't know if you can connect with a bridgyfed handle. At some point I want to patch stream.place to make commenting with a mastodon account instead of a bluesky one straightforward, but I will not be able to do that by Sunday. I apologize for this. You do not need a bluesky account or a stream.place account or anything to watch the stream. I did a test tonight (this is why I'm announcing the stream so late, sorry) and it appeared to work well.
@megmac yeh sorry
if it makes you feel better i didn't do all that well lol. nothing higher than rank 2. i did manage to clear level 100 in tgm4 master mode once tho
one big downside of this service: No vods :( i think i can edit videos together into youtube posts tho.
Now streaming!!! THE END OF GAMEPLAY by Droqen, who creates worlds that are made of secrets or lie to you altogether, and apparently, hates "Gameplay" and wants to convince you to hate gameplay

This is a new site— I apologize for teething pain and the (I will fix this someday!!) inability to comment from a Mastodon account (it uses Bluesky Oauth). If the server falls over we will switch to Twitch (boo)
THAT WAS A REALLY COOL EXPERIENCE
I'll be uploading the VOD to YouTube later as there's not currently a solution for saving VODs within stream.place itself, but this may not be for a couple weeks as I'm traveling soon. In the meantime I recommend trying THE END OF GAMEPLAY, linked on Steam upthread.
@noisytoot I don't know how to use PeerTube and so far no one and nothing have convinced me that if I put in the effort to learn PeerTube it will do the things I want it to do. This streamplace thing on the other hand allows people to log in and chat via a system I already understand (Bluesky)
@mcc I think PeerTube live chat is using XMPP. You can join using an XMPP client if your instance has that feature enabled.
