Not relying on matrix.org is just better, for everybody. Aaand this is one of the many concerns I have about Matrix: It desperately needs *less* Matrix.org, *more* decentralization...

@fun @cas Are there any other homeservers with a robust trust and safety team? Trust and safety seems to be an area where federated system generally do poorly. Matrix.org at least has people paid to do it, while the rest do not.

@alwayscurious @cas Them being paid doesn't necessarily mean they're better than others. That being said, most spamming I saw almost always came from matrix.org.
