After 25 years, I had to take UniLang offline this week. UniLang was a language learning community I co-founded in 2001 and was very active from 2001-2010s. I can no longer guarantee the security of the very old heavily customised PHP software that runs it.
I will, however, be working on bringing a read-only archive online of the forum and some of the language resources, preserving it all for posterity.
Thanks to everyone who has been a part of this journey!
@fun Thanks, I think I'll manage, just takes some time and work. It's mostly an old phpbb3 based forum (which didn't even run on php8 anymore so I was on Alpine 3.15 for it still ;) ). I have already found some conversion tooling I'm going to give a try and adapt where needed. Once it's static HTML I can host it safely.
@fun And ironically, I see https://wiki.archiveteam.org/ current down for the very same reason, the PHP vulnerability ;)
