So why does KDE, on the very same hardware, run so much smoother and considerably faster than GNOME? For instance, opening the application grid on GNOME often hangs for a few beats and then skips the animation. Loading up Libadwaita/GNOME applications takes much longer than loading up their Qt/KDE counterparts. Etc.
All using the same Fedora base.
I'm looking for real answers, not dumbass GNOME bashing or other basic bitch Reddit bullshit. There must be a real reason for this.
@thomholwerda it would help to know which hardware. Which GPU and which monitor (including resolution, refresh rate and VRR settings) are probably the most important bits.
