For over 5 years now, I have been screaming into the void about how NetworkChuck is a useless corporate puppet who should not be trusted. Whenever I would say that, I would ALWAYS get a response defending him.

@hexaheximal I thought everyone, including every tech youtuber, held the belief that its not the year of Linux because its not user friendly, a lack of GUIs, etc. And now they're touting Omarchy is that, which is... Arch Linux... and all about editing config files and using terminal commands

@tajoma the answer is, of course, obvious: the hype is merely because dhh made it.

@tajoma @hexaheximal it is magically different, just not in a good way (the way in which it's different from every other distro is that it's just someone's dotfiles rather than a proper distro, and it has a much higher concentration of bad opinions)

@noisytoot @hexaheximal Hmm, to me it seems less like all these people are compelled to talk about it because of its features or user experience, but because everyone else is talking about it too, so they want to hop on the bandwagon and get some views.
