kinda funny how 32 bit is just a few bits too little for both RAM (most computers use 8GiB or so) and networking (IPv4 can give half of humanity an address)
and now we have way oversized solutions for both

We had a solution for small value domains, it was called adding 1-2 more bits.

(I know other early systems used 36-bit or even 18-bit words as well, but the PDP-10 was the first system that I bumped into using it, so I got slightly confused coming from the 8-bit world of Sharp PC-1280 and Apple ][. Yes the Sharp had a 4-bit processor, but storage was 8-bit.)
@eloy 32bit adresses is also not enough to address every byte in your hard drive/SSD, so we should make 64bit adres- I mean assign the 32bit addresses to 4kb regions instead
