Marketing people are so dumb about measurement units.
What about selling power banks in amp-hours instead of kilo-milli-amp-hours? Would that be too easy?
Dumb fucks.
@alda Oh, my pet peeve is that because they recycled ‘watt’ as a measurement of light bulb brightness (based on the brightness of tungsten filament light bulbs), the actual power usage of light bulbs is now being shown in ‘watt-hours per hour’

Big Numbers are more impressive than small ones.
"Only 5.0 Ah? I'll take the 2,500 mAh one, because 2,500 is bigger, and I don't know what those letters mean."

Lunchables is a highly-processed food product that combines a carbohydrate (usually crackers) with a protein/fat (cheese or processed meat) and sugar (cookies), sealed in a shelf-stable package.
They have a current TV ad, where two kids are in a school lunchroom, and negotiating trading lunches:
"I'll give you one fifth of my cookies for one third of your pizza.
Don't mobile me, Harold. Two tenths."
@RealGene @noisytoot I need to roll a d20 for "Knowledge: Americana"
