how does one pronounce 24-hour times like 00:00

@kemona_halftau in the uk we use 24-hour time but everyone reads it as 12-hour time

people say something which can be translated as “12 pm” or, if translated literally “12 of night”

newer generations might just say “zero zero zero zero” or “exactly zero”

@kemona_halftau that one is either 0 oclock or 0 hours. I tend to use the hour hand and oclock for :00 times, suffixing with AM for 0 ≤ h < 12. I do not say "zero one" for "01", expecting that to be implied.
