I just wanted to check out a link someone sent me. Fuck you too, Reddit!
I’m being unfairly discriminated against for my use of Hurricane Electric IPv6 address space.
@maddy i got that once and dropped them in my global firewall (dns out, referrals in). have a nice life bitch

been using this so i can keep viewing reddit without dealing with their bs :3
@noisytoot @maddy mine is hosted at home on a residential IP and i try to minimize sharing it publicly so i hope it continues to work indefinitely
feel free to poke me if it ever breaks and i'll look into it
May I share with you, RedLib,the private frontend for reddit? https://github.com/redlib-org/redlib
and libredirect, an extension that can redirect you there automatically: https://github.com/libredirect/browser_extension
@lilynet336 Yes, hello! ^.^
I use them because my ISP doesn’t support IPv6 on residential connections, but I wanted to be able to provide various self-hosted services over both IPv4 and v6!
@maddy Very fair. I’m lucky enough that my home ISP does provide IPv6, but when I visit my grandparents I bring a spare router with me and just use HE because my grandparents’ ISP does not give v6 addressing in the area.
Fun fact for you: did you know that in addition to 6in4 (what HE uses) there’s also a thing called 6to4? Very different method of doing things but it’s the same general idea.
I want to use Hurricane Electric’s tunnel broker but annoyingly my fucking ISP, Optimum, blocks ICMP port 41 for seemingly no fucking reason at all. I am told that it works if you have your own router and set the stupid gateway to modem-only mode (or use your own) but I don’t currently have one.
