im glad that the patch is there but i dont understand why the program even has this restriction at all, whats even the point??

the classic tale of contributors receiving bug reports by users running unofficial builds (in this instance, non-Flatpak) and then giving up and just disabling unofficial builds

@kemona_halftau Afaik Fedora kept packaging the program wrong and kept saying it's fine that it's broken this made people complain to the upstream Bottles project, but there was nothing they could do, so they did that.

@kemona_halftau weird. that website is terribly designed and it makes me think the software probably isn't very good either. there's also an obnoxious animation around a thing at the bottom of the page that's always visible even when you scroll advertising eagle, it requires javascript to view at all for no good reason whatsoever, and all the unnecessary and annoying animations make even moving my cursor slow
