Them: “So is there anywhere for memory sticks on this?”

[I assume they mean (Micro)SD cards rather than the dead Sony memory card format]

Me: “There’s a MicroSD card slot on the side, otherwise there’s USB ports that can be used for card readers or flash drives”

Them: “So you don’t call them ‘memory sticks’?”

Me: “Well…”

I go on to explain how Sony has made me an accidental pedant with regard to card storage formats, and how I consider the different kinds (Compact Flash, SD, Memory Stick, etc) separate from flash drives in my mind.

Them: “Ah…”

@maddy "memory stick" could also plausibly refer to RAM modules

@maddy I've never heard anyone use "memory stick" to refer to SD cards though, only USB drives
