this is a hate symbol. you're trying to follow a descendant of holodomor survivors. no i don't care about "but the symbol is not exclusive to soviets, it's just for communism". so is swastika, so shut you bitch ass up, stop being a westsplainer and listen to people who are directly affected by it.

This right here. It boils my blood when I see some self-titled leftist praising a genocidal monster (Stalin) with a higher kill count in a shorter time than the entire Nazi Germany managed during its entire existence. Not to mention linking a "communal ideology" with that culture-erasing empire.
"But Lenin and worker class ...": Lenin (Ulyanov by his actual name) was an aristocrat whose family was on very good terms with the Romanov dynasty. He also studied in the "West" (back when it wasn't the West) AND was co-opted by Imperial Germany to destabilise the already unstable Russian Empire (so yeah, his worker's "revolution" was a coordinated coup). His party then lost the following election into the State Duma and he, being a sore loser, instigated a civil war.
"But Marxism... ": Do you know what Stalin did to Trotsky? He'd do very much the same to Marx if they could meet.
Want to use a hammer and sickle as a symbol of workers? Then make DAMN SURE you purge it of its fascist history. Otherwise you're basically doing the equivalent of calling Hitler a socialist because his party had a "socialism" in its name.
