@tris for those on arch/endeavour/etc, you do need https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/vlc-gui-ncurses/ for this to work

@tris Yep, VLC is full of features that nearly nobody knows. I used it (cvlc) even for ad-hoc video processing and live streaming few times, but I normally use ffmpeg because its command-line is much easier to use.
