I thought the LD in “JSON-LD” stood for LaserDisc 
@maddy In my opinion, the LD stands for "Lousy Developers" when people think they can get away with treating it like plain JSON, and "Lovely Delights" when they process it like the true RDF it is

this article as well as this one from 2018 convinced me that JSON-LD is a bad idea
