I don't like having to go seek an audience with Open Source maintainers in the court of their Discord or IRC channel
"The Grand Vizier is not available to hear your petition but you may loiter about the antechamber currying favour with the notables in hopes of furthering your cause"
"Scuttlebutt around the channel is that you are out of the Emperor's esteem because you lmao'd at his words of wit when everyone else was rofl'ing"
@evan One time I went into #lineageos and asked them how to navigate recovery without a screen. "Good luck" was the response. I got a lot more traction posting to reddit :) Nolan very graciously walked me through it personally.
"I too came to court seeking his Majesty's aid in a matter of some import but I have remained here patiently biding my time, learning how the web of power operates. Today, I have become a merchant of influence, trading in secrets, and in fact have forgotten the point of my own petition that brought me here oh so long ago"
All these Open Source maintainers on the Fediverse are like "yeah but our Discord channel is cool, it's not like that at all, I don't know what this guy is talking about, we do memes"
@noisytoot an issue tracker? Documentation? There are lots of better ways to do things.
"Unfortunately some of your comments appear to show a tendency to look kindly on the cause of the Blue Faction. This has inadvertently made you enemies among the Party of the Falcon, and they are thwarting your ambitions in order to make an example of you. I have said too much; I could be punished for going even this far"
