@maddy yt-dlp is awesome!
i mapped a function key on my keyboard to open mpv (mpv uses youtube-dl by default but can also be compiled to use yt-dlp) with my clipboard contents, and it can open basically any link (tiktok, reddit, “twitter”, even posts on mastodon instances (sadly not all fedi software))

@kemona_halftau @maddy afaik mpv can just use yt-dlp too
(or maybe it’s compiled that way in the arch repos)

@maddy also works on reddit, particularly where video embeds are split in to separate audio and video streams
