@maddy ARM big.LITTLE has entered the chat
(ok, that’s an even number of un-even cores…)
It’s very rare these days that I find exactly what I’m looking for with the first result of a search.
@jiub Obviously, you’d also simulate unlocking that fourth core!
@maddy only if you program the 4th core to implement random errors :3
@maddy Sometimes, four cores is too much, but two is cutting it too close, so three it be! Pairs nicely with 3000MiB of RAM, too!
@maddy
*laughs nervously*
*glances at proxmox config*
N-no, never!
@maddy It gets one and a half cores and it'll just have to figure it out.
@maddy only when I'm not giving it ram in powers of 2.
3 cores and 3072 Mb should do...
@seabass Hahahaha, that’s a fantastic edit!
@insane Yup, and I remember that certain mobo manufacturers would advertise a core unlocking feature!
@maddy why the hell does Masto serve this as a webp image 😭
@dakkar @maddy Not necessarily. The Pixel 8 Pro has an odd number of cores (although I guess that’s technically DynamIQ rather than big.LITTLE)
