@minka this is vanilla Hytale, so it kinda caught me off guard when it got placed vertically lol

@dee @minka wait, vanilla minecraft doesn’t have vertical slabs? I’m surprised, considering even minetest_game has arbitrarily rotatable slabs (rotation is stored in param2 and you use a screwdriver to rotate them) and that’s otherwise very minimal compared to minecraft

@noisytoot @dee It doesn’t indeed. Minecraft has a very basic featureset, but when mods expand that anyways, I guess it doesn’t make much sense to implement on vanilla. Some things did make into vanilla, like Quark’s sakura trees

@dee I haven’t played Hytale yet (but it looks cool) but from watching some people play it’s clear they’ve added the functionality of some mods. FallingTree for one (chop the base of a tree and all its blocks fall down), but also some parkour mods (relating to climbing ledges), and I see they added vertical slabs from Quark too.
