ICE has evidently murdered someone this morning in Minneapolis.
https://www.fox9.com/news/police-swarm-scene-federal-law-enforcement-shooting-minneapolis
I've mirrored the witness video below.
It shows ICE murdering a civilian for attempting to drive away from a road block setup with unmarked cars.
They did not drive into or run over officers.
The Mayor of Minneapolis and police chief are giving briefing.
The police chief as usual made excuses for why cops need to sometimes shoot unarmed people (fuck up lol).
Both are complaining about ICE's reaction to the shooting and evidently MPD had to force ICE agents to leave the scene bc they were trying to start physical conflict with bystanders.
The Mayor demands ICE leave the city immediately, not just the crime scene.
@fortyseven @nullagent No clearly visible identification from at least 2 sides and seems like you can see the camera app open on the phone.
@RuffLandings @fortyseven @nullagent Is this the murderer?
@Doppelganger75 @fortyseven @nullagent I believe so. In the video above, you can see him and a bystander go the car after the crash. The camera moves around a bit, but it doesn’t appear that anyone else goes over until this person returns. In the video from a different angle, you can see what appears to be the same person putting away his gun with his phone still out and then begin to walk toward the crash before the video ends.
@Doppelganger75 @fortyseven @nullagent He’s also the only DHS agent in the area without a head covering of any kind, and given that the camera person focuses so closely on him, I feel pretty confident.
@nullagent --
We have to be witnesses. We cannot bury our faces and hide our eyes.
This is how accountability works.
If we do not bare witness and stand up, there will never be accountability.
Thank you for doing your part to make sure there is accountability.
Lets ALL join Minneapolis in saying to ICE - "Get the FUCK out"
Governor Tim Walz spoke ealier this afternoon after placing the state National Gaurdsmen on alert for deployment and sent a CLEAR warning signal to ICE/DHS that he may deploy the Guard to deal with these dangerous ICE agents.
We'll see what happens.
As usual he remembers the Democrat refrain of "only peaceful protests", but we all know the US feds NEVER give a shit about whether or not any given protests is violent or not.
Strong words from Walz tho, lets hope he follows through.
I've now seen solid confimation of the identity of this morning's victim.
Rest In Power Renee Nicole Good.
✊🏿
This is one of those situations where there's a LOT more context and details. (videos from tons of angles, several additional serious assaults, the medical negligence etc etc).
But at this very moment I think we're all really just wondering when will this murderous ICE goon get arrested and charged?
Because it better be today.
ICE / DHS had better turn his ass over pronto.
Bare minimum.
A massive crowd has gathered near the scene of Renee Goods murder at the hands of Trump's ICE agents.
📸 Dymanh Chhoun - https://dymanh.com
@nullagent I think maybe her front left tire spins as she starts to go forward?
Not even that excuse (tho I hear where you're coming from) much matters when cops simply make conflicts where there otherwise were none.
This clip from moments prior shows Renee waving the cops passed, which several of the ICE officers pass with no interference from Renee.
The cops just didn't like that Renee was allegedly observing their operation and decided to create an excuse to murder her.
@nullagent oh, I don’t think it excuses anything.
He fired when her bumper had cleared him. And he deliberately put himself in front of her car so he had an excuse.
@nullagent I was just zooming and cropping to send it to someone to show it wasn’t justified.
I think the cop got exactly what he was looking for
@nullagent that edit make sense? I’m not at my best for clarity
Not cops. These were Federal Agents working under the highly funded ICE agency. Not Minnesotans either. They were brought in to commit their crimes against humanity.
I disagree. This is the most cop coded situation that could possibly occur.
Shooting unarmed people who are leaving unjust police interactions is as ordinary and common place as the American Hamburger or Apple Pie.
Yes, ACAB means ALL.
OK. Am I to understand that you believe these were Minneapolis and /or Minnesota Police officers in unmarked vehicles?
You called them "cops" and I call them federal agents from out of state.
This may be where our beliefs differ.
Meanwhile reports from the Minneapolis Federal Court House where residents are demanding the ICE leave the state immediately.
"Seattle doesn't fuck with ICE"
Tonight in Seattle hundreds gathered immediately after work to denounce the murder of Renee Good at the hands of ICE agents.
During the demonstration speeches were given covering the local ICE arrests and the multiple recent ICE shootings across the US.
@nullagent the way they surround cars is to give them an excuse to use force if it moves at all.
I would love to see an actual expert talk about how they do these.
While its always a joy to get out and demonstrate with comrades it was extremely disappointing to see these organizers, SAARPR, allowing cops to march directly in their protests.
Seattle cops will absolutely leave your protest crowd and observe from a distance which imo is far safer for everyone involved. However organizers MUST actively ask that the cops leave the crowd and there simply was no support from SAARPR on this even during anti police chants.
I see why people don't like SAARPR now.
Minneapolis public schools have cancelled classes today and for the rest of fhe week due to ICE activity yesterday that may have targeted a teacher AFTER ICE had already murdered Renne Good.
Another Seattle vigil honoring Renee Good is planned tonight on the waterfront.
This is definitely in the performative category of protesting but could be a safe entry point for folks new to activism.
The more urgent need in the Seattle region is for more people to do EXACTLY what Renee Good was doing. Actively going to look for and observe ICE abductions in our area.
And as luck would have it, ICE has been quitely terrorizing our local immigrants and is largely going unopposed in Seattle as far as I can see for the last several months.
Lately there's been an uptick in ICE activity in North Seattle so if you're there this article is for you.
Kash Patel's FBI seems to now be in charge of the inviestigation into Renee Good's murder at the hands of an ICE agent.
Which I think tells us all we need to know about the type of "justice" the Trump administration is preparing to dole out.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/08/minneapolis-school-class-canceled-ice-killed-woman
There's some more details about what happened at the high school ICE attempted to storm after murdering Renee Good.
It seems ICE rolled up with several vehicles and in short order ended up pepper spraying students and fighting with passers by.

Nazi Gestapo Storm Troopers.
This is what happened to Ann Frank and all the other Jewish at the time.
According to the local teacher's union, MFE 59, they say one of their teacher's was abducted by ICE right as school let out.
Thankfully the educator was released the same day but many students witnessed this unjust and unwarranted arrest.

The commander of Border Patrol, Gregory Bovino, was seen at the high school during the arrest of a high school educator.
Can't help but noticed he's finally complying with court orders to wear a bodycam.
The muderer of Renee Good has been identified as Jon Ross. A 2000s Iraq War veteran.
Ross was "accidentally" doxxed by DHS' own leader Kristi Noem this morning in a press conference where she mentioned a previous incident the same agent shot another driver with a Taser which ended up in court.
Within hours journalist from the Star Tribune were able to track down those court records which lead them to Ross.
https://www.startribune.com/ice-agent-who-fatally-shot-woman-in-minneapolis-is-identified/601560214
@nullagent Maybe someone wants to look into his time in Iraq?
Tons of stories of police abuse are coming out about the latest ICE/CBP surge into Minnesapolis.
In this account of an attempted ICE abduction a pastor explains how he volunteered to be arrested when he saw ICE snatching a young hispanic woman.
Agents pointed guns at his head and eventually did detain him only to let him go a short while later stating:
"You're white so not much fun taking you in"
Several video angles from the ICE incident at Minneapolis' Roosevelt High have emerged.
In this video agents can be seen firing teargas at high school students and educators.
Huge crowds of thousands marched through Minneapolis tonight.
📸 BGOnTheScene - https://linktr.ee/BGOnTheScene
Not quite sure how/why this video was released but footage of Renee Good's last moments as filmed by murderous ICE/CBP goon Jon Ross have come out.
This video shows Ross walking around the car filming Renee from his smartphone while agents shout conflicting orders.
Again, I think its super important to note that this goon was filming on a phone(wtf?), why not a bodycam?
Bodycams are better for this task bc it allows cops to have situational awareness and not be thinking about their IG live.
I can already see the cops planning to say he felt fear and couldn't tell if he was going to get hit or not because he was too distracted with the phone.
But imo its clear he's filming this killing bc he planned it. He placed himself their and filmed so he could brag
In reporting from last month the WA Post via public records requests verified that ICE & CBP are waging an intentional media war.
DHS cops frequently work hand in hand with media production teams. Sometimes even with requests for the production of social media content coming down the chain of command to field agents.
So in short, its no mistake that CBP cop Jon Ross seemed to manufacture a murder for Twitter and IG views.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/interactive/2025/ice-social-media-blitz/
In videos posted today from protests around Minneapolis' federal building activists and reporters noticed a media team riding along in CBP/ICE vehicles.
If you look closely in the first few seconds of this video you'll see the reporter and camera man exit the back row of an ICE vehicle.
After reviewing other angles and stills I believe this was Matt Finn, a Fox News reporter.
So we know the propaganda machine is in full swing in MPLS.
Protesters rightfully noticed the man who looks like Fox News reporter Matt Finn exiting the ICE vehicles and ask for his name and badge number and whether he is a cop.
The reporter refuses to identify himself.
In video, also from today, we can see the view from Fox News propagandists Matt Finn as he rides along with a DHS cop.
The two discuss how they are essentally driving around, waiting to get noticed as ICE/CBP and then planning to start conflict with anyone and everyone who "impedes" their aimless operation.
Fuck these Völkischer Beobachter reporters.
But here's the thing, ICE/CBP agents are not traffic cops.
If they have a problem with people's driving style they actually are probably supposed to call the local cops.
So if they really think that person took an illegal u-turn they need to call the cops like everyone else.
Being a bad or evening annoying driver isn't directly a crime and certainly isn't even "impeding" ICE's operations.
Since Renee Good's killing DHS has pledged to send an additional 500 ICE/CBP/DHS cops to Minnesota and likely the majority ending up in Minneapolis to re-enforce the already 2000 strong DHS fighting force.
This all despite multiple requests from the Mayor and Governeor Tim Walz for DHS to withdraw it's occupying force immediately.
There is a silver lining tho, this is requiring DHS to pull cops for other cities,
https://www.ms.now/news/trump-administration-pushes-self-defense-narrative-in-ice-killing
In this clip a US Army Ranger vet explains how ICE/CBP are clearly being ordered be as intimidating as possible.
He notes how they should NOT be wearing masks when not dealing with actual gangs who operate on the border..
He explains even how they wear their bullet proof vests is unnecessarily intimidating.
The vet explains these sorts of shows of force got troops hurt in Afghanistan bc the locals wouldn't wait for the next Renee Good to fight back.
📸 Status Coup
Mayor Frey has been doing tons of interviews to advocate for ICE getting the fuck out of his city this week.
In this interview with The Bulwark he encourages artists, musicians and other performers to please come to the city and do their acts as planned and to support the protests while in town.
He points to the economic damper this fascist cop surge will have on the city and says his job is to enable as many of these sorts of events to be help despite oppression.
https://www.thebulwark.com/p/anne-applebaum-and-jacob-frey-using
Frey mentions that ICE now accounts for 50% of the city's gun crime.
He expressed major concern that ICE agents (2,275) in the city now far outnumber the around 600 local cops. The concern is clearly visible on Frey's face when I speaks of the numerical superiority of the ICE/CBP cop surge.
https://www.thebulwark.com/p/anne-applebaum-and-jacob-frey-using
Tim Walz has also stayed in the media cycle and is trying to keep the pressure up on ICE to leave. He spoke out yesterday explaining how the actions of ICE against Renee Good were unjustified.
He draws the conclusion that if ICE can do that to Renee then immediately go harass high school educators that these same sorts of incidents could become common in our schools.
Walz says that's a red line for him and he'll fight like hell to keep ICE away from kids.
Tonight thousands of everyday people in Minneapolis are holding noise demos at the hotels ICE is staying in.
It's our 1st admenment right to make sure ICE gets a horrible night of rests every night until they get the Fuck OUT!
Renee Good's partner, Becca, released a statement today about her death.
https://www.mprnews.org/story/2026/01/09/renee-goods-wife-releases-statement-about-ice-shooting
An OTG update earlier today from the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Minnesota shows workers fortifying the building to make it easier for CBP+ICE agents to keep protesters from slowing down their deportation processing operations.
In other clips large shipments of jersey barriers and barbed wire were seen being offloaded.
The feds are clearly planning not to leave MPLS as requested.
📸 BGOnTheScene via Twitter
Despite the horror of Renee Good's murder, politicians telling ICE to get the fuck out and growing protests, ICE continues to abduct people in and around MPLS.
In this incident I think from today in St Paul Minnesota (not sure of the date OP privated) a family ordered DoorDash only to have their dasher followed to their home by ICE.
The family attempts to protect the woman and call local cops(as instructed by politicians) local cops tell them they will arrested if they don't comply fully 🚨
The above video account of ICE chasing a DoorDash into a customer's home is hear breaking.
The woman filming explains that she is a native a American and for lack of a better word they all sound scared shitless by what happened to Renne Good.
The family had kids in the home and the demand that ICE put down their guns.
The only thing the sheltered Hispanic woman had to threaten these militarzed federal cops with is her tears.
There's a lot of revolutionary joy in the streets of Minneapolis tonight.
#MPLSProtest #minneapolis #minneapolisICE #ICEProtest #NoiseDemo
Watching live streams, the scene at the entrance to the ICE hotel is noisy af.
The crowd is peaceful but LOUD, they have shown a ton of respect for the hotel security personnel.
Bands and drummers filtered through the crowd to setup shop right in the doorway.
After a bit an ICE cop emerged at the door to stand with security and crowd got a LOT less friendly.
(apologies, my screencap didn't catch audio)
The 2 and half hour long live stream I had been watching just ended abruptly with this as the last frame.
Protesters appear to have been let in a side door and several have filed in.
They encountered two closed (but unclocked doors) and debated entering further.
Some young boys can be heard warning the crowd that their could be ICE cops on the other side setting a trap and most exited. Many others took their place then the streamer ended the stream likely to protect ppl's identities.
When the stream resumed the citizen journalists were outside of the hotel facing off with local MPLS riot cops.
The local cops are now threatening to forcefully disperse the noise protests.
The local cops are now protecting ICE, as predicted.
The crowd is now curse out the local cops and saying the are supporting ICE too much.
It sounds like the crowd became aware that the local cops were arriving right as the hotel side door was opened.
The vast majority of the crowd felt it was a trap and sounds like the local police did not have to physically remove anyone from the hotel bc the crowd had heads up they were about to get kettled.
The local cops appear to have just completed securing the entrances of the hotel and now are forming a road block to keep demonstrators away from the hotel.
Notably the local cops are armed primarily with knight sticks, pepper balls and other "non-lethals" (they still dangerous tho).
So far I've seen no local cops carrying rifles.
Every so often a snowball is thrown at the cop line.
There is ZERO reaction from these local cops, its as if snow balls and noise demos are not a lethal threat. These cops are clearly on their absolute best behavior, its not much but compared to ICE (and local cops in 2020) these guys appear to be doing their best to not unnecessarily threaten or intimidate the crowd.
It's wild, watching ICE I fully expect everyone to get gassed for them snowballs.
Not long after the police lines were formed the protests resumed marching and is now several blocks away.
The local cops now seems to have to decide between guarding the ICE hotel vs tailing the protesters and it looks like they're gonna stay at the hotel and make sure those evil goons get a quite rest of their night.
A few loudspeakers and heavy metal tracks are required
Sounds like the protest has dispersed for the night.
From what I saw on streams the protest tonight in Minneapolis was very peaceful with protesters occasionally enganging in civil disobeiance by being loud in hotel lobby's.
Not that protests need to be any of those things to be valid forms of struggle against oppression.
From witness statements on the streams it appears that both state and local cops were on tap to put down the protests and took active steps to encourage the crowd to disperse.
I'm not sure why dispersal was so important. I totally get keeping the crowds out of hotel lobbies but I really think if the Mayor and Governor meant what they say they should not be attempting to disperse a simple noise demo. Even if it goes late.
In fact they should make a point to NOT protect ICE at all anymore.
If the situation were clearly already out of control with respect to ICE being told by every level of local governement to leave Senator Amy Klobuchar has joined the chorus as well.
Listen carefully and you'll see that Klobuchar, just like Mayor Frey and Governor Walz is keeping an eye on the tactical situation.
They ALL are aware that their local cops are already out numbered and out gunned by ICE.
They are talking about literal battle when they talk like this.
The crisis facing the US is extremely serious.
A DC cop, Michael Fanone, who was nearly killed at the US Capitol on January 6th says that a couple "F" bombs and foul language from the Mayor and Governor are NOT enough to stop what's coming. Fanone retired from the force after Jan 6 bc he refused to serve with fascists sympathizers.
He predicts that Americans will have to begin excersizing their 2A rights bc strong words are not enough to stop ICE.
Many people might hear J6 cop Fanone's encouragement for folks to embrace their 2A rights and think he's talking about some Rambo shit I really don't think that's what he's talking about.
In this clip a few ICE agents enter a McDs that has a couple armed security.
The gaurds proactively tell ICE to leave.
Throughout the encounter ICE NEVER touches them, speaks in a whisper AND left empty handed.
Unarmed guards would have been cursed at, beat and arrested along with the migrants.
So when a noise demo get's dispersed under threat of force from the F bomb dropping Mayor it's makes me REALLY question which form of protest would be more effective at actually denting ICE's abduction numbers.
A couple noise demos? Mountains of broken bones, bruises and trauma from tailing ICE around?
Or just passing a lot of laws that make it easier for targeted communities to obtain firearms and CCWs licenses and making stand your ground legal against ICE.
I know the Mayor and Governor would probably say that they HAD to put down the protests bc otherwise these poor hotels, stuck between a rock and a hard place, would have to suffer the direct economic consequences of their windows being vandilaized all the time and local property values dropping from constant protests.
And I'm just like.... THATs actually the Free Market at work.
They need to get the fuck out the way and let these companies face consequences.
There's only worse options.
If we can't even for ONE NIGHT ensure that ICE has an impossible time sleeping and that letting them stay LITERALLY means economic ruin for EVERYONE involved then noise demos simply won't be allowed to even attempt to work.
These stats are staggering. The abductions are basically continuing unabated.
EVERY level of our government's systems are being weaponized to find soft targets to abduct when they are most isolated and we're not able to respond in time.
So anyways, ICE/CBP is playing in everyone's face in light of the threat to deploy National Gaurds against them.
The day after Walz made the threat to call the NG the commander of CBP Gregory Bovino staged a photo op at the Minnesota State Capitol which the right wing has been joking he'll soon be in command of.
I've never in my life seen this type of blatant disregard for the political norms of the US.
This is what Bovino did to mourn Renee Good's death.
"Haven't you learned?"
The ICE goon asked of two women observering him harass someone.
In a viral video from yesterday two women in Minneapolis who were observing ICE/CBP operations from their vehicle had their phone snatched from them. The CBP cop used intimidating references to Renee Good's murder this week alluding to the fact he hoped to find an excuse to shoot them.
📸 milaisconfused44 via TikTok
There's ALSO a viral videos suggesting that the women were disappeared by ICE.
Thankfully this is NOT true both are home safe today according to the original poster's updates this morning. Mirrored below.
Jeeeze, ICE continues to do everything in their power to inflame the situation to the highest degree.
Posting white supremacist song references just fash all the way down over there.
Mayor Jacob Frey spoke today about the shifting landscape of ICE+CBP's aimless illinformed hunt for "illegals".
Frey describes ICE initially showing up hoping to snatch Somalian-Americans but quickly discovered the vast majority are actually US citizens.
Finding it hard to deport Somalian's Frey says the feds then turned to harassing the Hispanic community.
According to @UnicornRiot there were 30 arrests at the noise demo protests at ICE's hotels on the 9th in Minneapolis.
Video from St. Cloud Minnesota show's a couple ICE agents attempting to grab a Somali American, emphasis on attempt, and having a hundred community members IMMEDIATLY surround these shitty federal cops.
These pigs were obviously massively outnumbered and run off with their tails between their legs.

Making good on JD Vance's threats, ICE is now going door to door.
Of course they don't have warrants, or ANY legal reason to be busting down these doors.
Why would they need that?
Blue states need to pass "stand your ground" laws asap. Let's see them raiding houses after that.
The paper the federal cops presented was NOT signed by a judge and so it was not in any way legal for them to bust down this door with armed men.
This was a flagrant violation of the US Constition.
Meanwhile, TikTok has been hot on the case of doxxing the shit out of murderous cop Jonathan Ross and dragging his personal life filth (as the tiktok'ers do).
But as I've said from the start, this was all typical American cop work.
Turns out, Ross was a 10yr veteran federal officer and was responsible for TRAINING many other immigration & customs cops.
As this tiktok says, "Ross wasn't a failure of the system, he was the system"
Meanwhile in Philly . . .
I don't expect to see them go door to door on the east coast or south without real warrants. The laws there are pretty clear.
https://www.inquirer.com/news/black-pather-party-philadelphia-minnesota-shooting-20260110.html
@nullagent @per_sonne
Do they have the guts to go into Southie?
Basically within an hour or two of Jonathan Ross's name getting out bc of Kristi Noem's dumb comment, I saw all of his PII leaked online.
Lately, rumour has it the feds had to whisk him away and cleared out his house.
Streamer "Robby Roadstreamer" whose frequently been seen at protests on the east coast heckling National Gaurdsmen, CBP and ICE agents alike was seen in Minneapolis this morning being violently arrested by federal cops.
This is the moment of protesting that demoralizes the shit out of cops.
On the one hand they get to be all tough and arrest this streamer for standing around.
On the other hand, he'll prolly be out tomorrow doing the same antics 😂
I've seen basically a never ending stream of videos of people just doing the mildest things to annoy these federal goons gaurding ICE into making "catch & release" arrests.
In one video an older guy just drives his car right into the drive fed building way, parks. Casually gets out to hold up a protest sign to an immediate volley of pepper balls and mace as cops run over to arrest him and beat back the cheering crowd.
Arrests like this waste DHS/ICE resources and lowers cop moral.
Keep it up!
New video making the rounds today from Minnesota depicts an ICE agent falling on ice then entering a porta potty with a female kidnapping victim.
Today Minnesota's Attorney General Keith Ellison announced the state's lawsuit against DHS to end the surge of federal cops into Minnesota.
He points out making arrests in the state's sensitve locations is illegal and a violation of State's rights:
- Courts
- Churches
- Schools
- Funeral Homes

He points out the conservative states have FAR more illegal alieans. Meanwhile Minneapolis has HALF the national rate of undocumented residents.
Frey acknowdleged the flood of feds outnumbering local cops.
Lastly this is cost his city a TON economically. Millions of police overtime have already been spent.
The full text of Minnesota's lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security can be read below.
This suit was entered into US District court of Minnesota and if I'm reading the court calendar correctly they will be a motion hearing on Wednesday.
There's some VERY alarming instances of police violence directed against State's attorney who happened to witness an ICE arrest first hand.

Just finished reading most of the Minnesota v. DHS lawsuit and its just a massive constitutional violation wrapped in police violence and state's rights infringement.
Each offense more shocking than the last.
At the end of the day the AG of Minnesota is asking for very reasonable relief.
That the ICE/CBP surge END and that anytime ICE/CBP do have legit warrants they need to follow basic police procedures like respecting the constitution.
https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Office/Communications/2026/docs/00190_DHS_Complaint.pdf
Another major story today are the internal communications leaked by ICE agents showing that while Kristi Neom and Bovinio are brash in public, internally they are struggling to maintain the moral needed to staff their surge operations.
This stuff is important because those agents who've been deploy are going to want a break from being called murders (probably in just another week or two).
And that means people need to ship in so they can ship out for time off.

#FuckICE
Only problem is they are already struggling to get more agents to op-in to this braindead mission now that they all know they will 100% be seen as murderers.
So now there's ICE cops turned leakers spelling this all out. The leakers say they are scared, afraid for their safety and affraid to follow the first wave of dumbasses who deployed to Minneapolis.
https://www.kenklippenstein.com/p/immigration-agents-terrified-by-ice
keep the pressure up, give these #ICE pig nazis the treatment they deserve.
So anyways, share these videos of ICE falling on their asses.
ICE on ICE violence is good for everyone.
As the 2020 Seattle protests proved statistically, constant protests, online mockery, the physically demanding labor of being a fascist pig and the constant never ending resistance really hurts their feelings.
At the federal facility in Minneapolis today protest has been non-stop. Its night time on a monday its forecasted to be 26 F and people are staying warm by screaming at ICE under the glow of fireworks.

There's also a umm... unmistakable air in the US right now that a SERIOUS line has been crossed.
Dude says he's not waiting for the ballot box, he urges his fellow Americans to show up armed to more ICE interactions. He says he's choosing the bullet box instead.
And so as I a bit of a student of history, US civil rights, bussing and just being Black in a America ummm I really think the average American is starting to sound a lot more revolutionary than they used to.
ICE has REALLY fucked up.
When I say the average American is pissed the fuck off at ICE I mean it.
You got content creators trying to make cuties content, buying all the wares from a Hispanic road side vendor somewhere in the US to hand out to passersby.
Instead of the adorable-core video he was going for, the poor sap came face to face with a car full of ICE agents on their way to abduct someone.
Kid risks his safety and freedom to curse those shitheads out.
This didn't used to be the sort of thing that would trend.
Yea, the TikTok chicks who used to binge day-in-the life videos until they needed their quarterly social media cleanse+international travel vlog tour, yea they are ALSO out here cursing out ICE agents and hyping up the other girlies to also curse out ICE agents.
These sorts of voices mirror a lot of the things I think a lot of Americans are thinking. To me I see a whole new generation of activists being born and trying to figure shit out.
How to get justice and accountability?
Because the vibes this week are pretty fucked.
We all know DHS/ICE/CBP/FBI/DOJ are all playing in our face. They have no intention to run a legit investigation into Renee Good's murder.
Today video was posted showing Good's car being transported down the highway without any sort of car cover or wrap to preserve evidence.
The window was clearly open and not sealed prompted many people to question if this is a sign of carelessness on the FBI's part?
The DOJ put it in black and white.
The Civil Rights Division, who has holistically had the job of investigating dirty cops after they murder someone, refused to take the case.
When long time prosecutors offered to fly out to investigate the crime scene they were TURNED AWAY.
The person in charge of the case is Harmeet Dhillon. She was Trump's 2020 campaign legal advisor while he claimed voter fraud. Now a head of Civil Rights @ DOJ
Important to note, many communities across the country are seeing a surge in ICE+CBP activity.
Notably new ICE tactics being talked about in West Virginia where ICE is working with local and state cops to setup at what look like DUI check points only to harass people about their status.
There's also rumors of ICE using toll booths in WVa to check plates to search for vulnerable people to target quite literally down the road.
#WV #WestVirginia #ICETactics #EastCoast #FuckICE #F12 #ACAB
In WA state I'm hearing rumours that ICE did some door-to-door knocking the past two days throughout the state.
Of course Portland is still also dealing with the recent attempted murder of two of their residents.
Today the Luis David Nino-Moncada who was shot alongside his wife by border patrol last week was charged for daring to survive.
Many many Americans are seeing and feeling this surge.
https://www.opb.org/article/2026/01/12/border-patrol-shooting-portland-charges/
So this is leading many former service members to say a lot of the same things.
ICE is proviking a reaction.
That reaction, could be so large no one and no army will be able to contain it,
This vet directly talks about how a conflict between the American people and ICE (and whoever else Trump sends in) would feel for ICE just like being in Afghanistan did.
An unwinnable war that harms all who dare to occupy ANY ordinary human populace.
And when you start to do the math its pretty staggering.
Minneapolis is currently afflicted by 3k (they're sending another 1k) rouge feds.
They only have 600 cops.
The populace is 400k Americans.
Gun ownership is estimated at 45% of Minneapolis households.
If even 1-5% of housholds decided to violently oppose ICE with force, they would outnumber ICE on day one.
I can see why the vet above says ICE will loose if Americans stop being peaceful.
@nullagent Saying a lot of the same things myself in my essay coming out tomorrow.
(Went up on Patreon late Sunday night. That was not a good draft tho', I really need to do better. But fuck these are hard to write.)
(I think they're fool enough to _want_ that reaction, and I _do_ think they want martial law.)
@nullagent I think there's one thing he's missing, though - and that's with national guard. He brings in National Guard from _Texas_ to Minnesota and Wisconsin, he brings in National Guard from, I dunno, Florida or Alabama to Cascadian states, I don't think they'll have all that much hesitation to follow illegal orders, because I _don't_ think they see us as being of the same country. Not _really_. Not as _real_ Americans.
I mean, you're already seeing that play out some this weekend. I think it's going to be less of a restraining factor than he does.
Or maybe most of those people are already in ICE, and we'll get more normal people. That would be lovely. But I don't believe in it right now.
I remember reading an article by a British soldier in Afghanistan. What moved him to write was catching sight by chance of the face of a Taliban fighter. A day or two later he saw the same man, out shopping at a market with his wife and family. It was an epiphany - the soldier suddenly realised that he was trying to fight a war against the people themselves - and that it was unwinnable.
Back to the lawsuits, the State of Illinois also announced they will be suing DHS over CBP+ICE conduct in Illinois & especially Chicago.
Illinois Secretary of State Alexi Giannoulias is zeroing in on ICE breaking state laws, like plate swapping
They launched a hotline to report ICE swapping car license plates.
You see ICE using stolen plates?
Call or email the state of Illinois today!
#CourtWatch #Illinois #chicago #chicagoICE #FuckICE #AlexiGiannoulias
The full text of Illinois' lawsuit against DHS can be found below 👇🏿
Much like other state's suits Illinois' Attorney General Kwame Raoul laz delivered a case detailing sprawling abuses of state sovereignty and operating without regard to the fundamental rights promised in the constitution.
There's even a section titled: "Boarder Patrol's Occupation of Chicago"
#CourtWatch #IlinoisICE #chicago #ChicagoICE #FuckICE #CBP #DHS #KwameRaoul
This lawsuit is possibly even more damning than Minnesota's.
Illinois AG Kwame Raoul laid out what ICE/CBP are technically allowed to do when operating in the interior of the country.
Largely ICE needs a warrant or very clear probable cause to detain or question a person. They typically need to know long in advance who it is they are their to detain.
Instead of that very individualized enformecent ICE is doing cartoon evil shit, like patroling on a gunboat for papers.
The document shows a shift at ICE towards lawless roving patrols.
There's obviously no requirement for American citizens to carry proof of citizenship at all times.
But not only is ICE demanding proof of citizenship while pointing guns at people they are also demanding biometric scans of faces and even fingerprints without a warrant or even probable cause!
One especially ridiculous case, ICE agents abducted a US citizen walking home from the gym.
The agents put a citizen into handcuffs and dragged him into an unmarked car that had no license plates at all!
Once in the car they scanned his face using the DHS app MobileFortify.
The feds insist that they should be able to keep biometric scans of citizens obtained forcefully in roving raids like this one.
#MobileFortify #DHS #ChicagoICE #FuckICE #ChingaLaMigra #CourtWatch
The Illinois AG writes about case after case after case.
Oh look, masked ICE agents showed up to a hospital with a man whose leg they broke. They refused to ID themselves but forcefully accompainied the man during treatment. A city official arrived to confront the federal cops and they cuffed and detained her. ICE didn't even have a warrant.
In another they beat and detained a man in front of his pregnant partner and daycare center full of preschoolers who witnessed the forceful kidnapping.
@nullagent This would be why the US government doesn't allow their trained veterans to take tanks, anti-tank missiles and tactical nukes home with them on retirement. They want to keep the "good stuff" on one side.
The ghosts of Michael Foot and the WW2 "scallywags" will be rolling in their grave, helpless with mirth.
@nullagent I was just thinking that the revelation of torture in 2002 made the populace and their supporters extremely hostile. This is that.
@nullagent It is unlikely that the #GravySeals in #ICE will ever confront a large group of #resistance. Most fear being simply being identified!
What they ALL should fear is the coming #American #NurembergTrials of #Truth and #Justice.
@nullagent
Still is a miracle (in a positive way) to me that no one started to use some of the millions civilian owned arms.
MUCH respect for that.
On the other hand it's a question of the #Toleranceparadoxon
My concern is about apparently existing troops and commanders who are willing to follow unlawful orders.
#project2025 won't stop at national guards. They will send in troops at some point, with way more power.
The difference to foreign countries:
Surveillance/datas are way more complete.
@nullagent Feels like a setup. Say that happens, don't you think Trump already has the next move planned?
@collectifission @nullagent Trump is senile and with each passing day it's more obvious. The problem is court of fash clowns surrounding him, but they are factionalised, they may have a plan, hell, they probably have plans the coincide in the intent to provoke a situation for a self-coup, but the moment Trump is gone they will start the stabbing party because <fascism doesn't understand peaceful transitions of power>, and with insurgencies you know how they start, not how they end.
@nullagent yeah except as you noted not a single country the US invaded was half as gunned up as the US is. Insurgency looks very different then, with a violence escalation counted in days, not years. Other than the assassination of top figures, the road to peace would involve the kind of introspection the US is the LEAST capable of in the world, especially when structures of change (education, media etc...) are owned by warmongers (tech bros, billionaires).
@nullagent Imagine being another patient in that ER, having a medical emergency and watching armed, masked (not medically as one should be in an ER) thugs barge their way in barking orders and abuse at the doctors and nurses and not being stopped by security.
@nullagent i'd say, time to revive The Weather Underground and start fighting back.
I think you get the picture on the shear amount of violence ICE is dolling out.
What Illinois suit drives home and closes with are words from federal officials themselves who promise that the worst is not over for Chicago.
In Bovino's own words he says they intend to come back later in 2026 with a renewed surge in the region slated for March.
Bottom line, the State of Illinois demands the courts order CBP in particular to get the fuck out of Chicago and the rest of the state.
They expect the judge to demand federal immigration cops stop using teargas for no reason. Stop warrantless detentions. Stop biometric scanning. Stop storing biometrics scans. Stop swapping license plates. Stop roving patrols. Stop arbitrary arrests in places like courts. Stop trespassing on private, city and state owned property.
In sort, stop being shitheads
Unbelievable… the tyrant has surrounded himself by sock puppets and bootlickers. This is how fascism also worked in the 1930s…
The democratic system is failing.
I for one hope that the politicians and lawsuits can sort things out.
But the clock is now ticking and this all rides on a pretty heavily armed country of people voluntarily remaining peaceful in the face of massive, inescapable provocations.
Fuck. Thought I was done with the Illinois thread but I forgot, one other extremely important set of interaction to surface and that is the fact that ICE already shot two Chicagians.
Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez was murdered by ICE after dropping his son off at school back in September.
ICE also attempted to murder Marimar Martinez, a US citizen who was shot 5 times but survived.
The feds sued Martinez for assault but the case got dropped once video came out.
Despite the lawsuits, protests and lawlessness ICE continues to kidnap, traffic and illegally deport residents of America and possibly even citizens without a trial or any legal form of due process.
There have been at least NINE plane loads of kidnapped individuals being flown out of Minneapolis alone just in a four day period.
@nullagent If Americans stop being peaceful, an awful lot of people are going to have to stop and think about which orders they follow..
A reporter, Amanda Moore, who is OTG in Minneapolis explains some of the footage she shot recently of ICE.
But what really stands out to me is the shocking operational cadance and aggressive pace of the CBP/ICE occupation.
Moore says that she used to be able to take the weekends off from report and go home from the front lines.
The frontlines are everywhere now. Everywhere she turns there's an ICE operation. She
If the pulse on America weren't clear enough, residents of the twin cities reported seeing a segment last night on their local broadcast news explaining how to refuse ICE's demands for documents or entry into homes.
When the local fox station is telling the masses not to comply with cops orders because the cops are doing so much illegal shit.... it might be a sign that things are not going well for the traditional institutions.
#minneapolis #stpaul #Minnisota #ICE #FuckICE #ACAB #DoNotComply
Personal note, last night I saw mention in my personal circles of an acquaintance whose friend of a friend had their window smashed by ICE.
So thats 3 degrees of separation, just from the Minneapolis ICE surge let alone the local friends who have directly been hassled by ICE.
Show me a room of Americans and I several will know of a friend, a neighbor or work college whose had a loved one hassled by ICE or snatched.
This is much more than Minnesota sadly.
So much trauma and bullshit. I can be a bit of a downer on protests due to the US's strong tradition of activist infighting but its important to remember so much activism is about sharing revolutionary joy and honoring the sacrfaices our community members make in the name of what is right and just.
Local native Americans were seen over the weekend paying their respects to the life and Renee Good, lost in defense of others.
Because of how things are playing out in Minnesota, many everyday Americans are calling on one another for support and Americans from all over the country are answering that call.
This is actually what American patriotism is all about. We've seen this before and its why protest works, average people eventually drop everything to protect their community.
So if ICE keeps escalating and hurting everyday people, more average Americans will drop everything to protect them.
So anyways, ICE has not slowed down one bit.
Throughout all of the weekend and Monday ICE continued to threaten to shoot observers and in several cases violently detained peaceful observers of their operations like Sue below.
Violently arresting a 55yr white lady named Sue at 6am is probably not the best idea if keeping the average American pacified were the goal.
The cops did shit like this in countless cities in 2020 and arresting someones grandma sure didn't help back then.
So everything up until this point is still just Monday's breaking news or interesting stories.
Back to breaking news.
Today reporters working with Status Coup News have posted viral video of ICE just moments ago unleashing a trail of teargas throughout residential neighborhoods.
ICE is upset that everywhere they go they now meet protests and citizens who refuse to comply with their illegal orders
📸 @jonfarinaphoto
Today ICE were seen targeting random motorists held up in traffic.
A young woman was attempting to drive past where ICE was loitering and had her window smashed and was pulled out of her car with her seat belt partially choking her until ICE agents cut it free.

Everyone should read through this thread from @nullagent. I've been following the atrocities that ICE has been committing in Minneapolis the last couple days, and this is the first thread where I've seen so much of the video/court/written evidence in one place. They also show court documents where this shit is happening in other cities like Chicago. I think this is especially important to keep informed about if you don't live in one of the cities being explicitly terrorized because a) ICE is everywhere and IS harassing and illegally detaining your neighbors, even if it's largely at the courthouse and b) this is going to spread everywhere.
We must protect our neighbors, we must document everything, we cannot let them win. Get plugged in to your local community - a good place to start if you aren't involved in things already is looking for a local immigration rapid response group, any immigrant advocacy groups, a mutual aid group (e.g. Food Not Bombs), or your local DSA chapter.
This is exactly what the brown shirts did in Nazi Germany. It is fascism.
Yesterday photo journalist Chad Davis captured a nearly identical situation however the American driver they detained also had their car rammed and smashed by ICE.
He's got a ton of excellent OTG photo reporting over the passed week in Minneapolis be sure to check the link below.
📸 @daviss - Chad Davis
The man who was detained yesterday while driving painted similar picture to what we're seeing again today.
He's a US citizen who happens to be visibly non-white and agents simply racially profiled him.
They rammed his car and terrified his family only to confirm that he is in fact a US citizen.
Today we're seeing the exact same actions again throughout the twin cities.

Today House Representative Robin Kelly from Illinois introduced articles of impeachment to remove Krisit Noem.
Within hours 50 Democrats had already signed on to show their support for the bill.
In her speech introducing the impeachment articles Rep. Kelly talks about the harms of ICE especially in Chicago and Minneapolis.
Kelly directly calls out the low quality of ICE agents. Demanding to know if Proud Boys were hired.
You know, its been a while(like maybe 3 days) since there's been an embarassing leak. Doesn't if feel like this story needs another leak?
Oh, well look at that, a super public anti-Trump Slate reporter managed to get hired by ICE and is explaining all of their internal processes and machinations. She did nothing to conceal her identity
"it takes about five seconds of Googling to figure out how I feel about ICE"
✍🏿 Laura Jedeed
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2026/01/ice-recruitment-minneapolis-shooting.html
"Somehow, despite never submitting any of the paperwork they sent me—not the background check or identification info, not the domestic violence affidavit, none of it—ICE had apparently offered me a job."
Reporter Laura Jedeed does a bang up job of demonstrating that ICE really doesn't even care if you finish the application or background check.
They will hire ANYONE who wants to go harass immigrants.
More reporting from Laura on her site 👇🏿
@nullagent this is an unparalleled insider threat opportunity. take their 50k, put implants EVERYWHERE. pcap EVERYTHING. fully eumerate the inside of absolutely everything
and face the threat of retaliation as an ICE traitor the whole time? i'll pass thanks.
the way i'm framing it goes like this:
if an antifascist gets through this process and is later identified by other ICE, they'll be treated horribly and maybe murdered. and of course we know that. everyone does.
if a rapist, pedophile, abuser, murderer gets through... they'll get a warm welcome from their fellow abusers and murderers.
everyone knows that, too. the real screening process is the culture of the type of person who is attracted to law enforcement.
i'm not gonna claim this is some "master plan". these people are morons. they barely have a coherent plan, nevermind a smart one. but whether they know they're doing it or not, it's what they're doing.
the purpose of a system is what it does.
@nullagent Articles of Impeachment should be introduced EVERY FUCKING DAY by EVERY DEM IN CONGRESS. At a MINIMUM.
Republicans voted against Obamacare 66 times.
How many times have Dems even introduced Articles of Impeachment? Once?
What will it take to trigger a 25th amendment action if nothing else so far has?
Right on schedule, irreverenat loud mouth anti-ICE tiktoker Robby Roadstreamer srufaced this morning saying he out of of ICE custody and would be returning to the front lines again today.
By my watch Robby took off less than 24hours between arrested and then seen OTG again this morning.
Again, a theme from 2020 was how at some point getting arrested for blocking traffic or disturbing the peace just doesn't phase people anymore.
There's a rash of instance of ICE violence going viral today.
Evidently at Monday morning ICE rammed a special educators car as she pulled into work at a school in St. Paul.
The agents accused the young woman of ramming them but witnesses say it was the other way around!
The teacher was released from ICE custody after a 12 hour ordeal.
Now everyday people understand these cops are bastards and MUST be filmed at all times.
Countless ICE encounters were posted today of ICE threatening anyone filming.
This video is pretty odd though because these federal goons are actually wearing Bureau of Prisons uniforms.
@nullagent They are just thugs for a rogue regime. The intention is to intimidate opposition into leaving the country and permanently tilting the balance. I have never been happier - and sadder - to be 4000 miles away. I worry for friends and family.
A nearly identical situation was featured today on Pod Save America.
ICE agents continue to tell people to "learn their lesson" in the wake of the murder of Renee Good.
From the looks of these videos, these threats are not working and only more people are resisting ICE by simply observering their operations.
Continuing with the explosion of ICE violence in Minneapolis this week.
Agents were seen arresting a US Citizen AGAIN for simply refusing to show ID. Agents threatend to tase him repeatedly for exercising his legal right to decline to answer their questions.
Dude was just exsting and they rolled up on him and violated the constitution six ways to Sunday.
Students who returned to school staged walkouts yesterday.
📸 Sean Lim
@nullagent Gosh, was the teacher ... smug? Oh, she's still alive so probably not.
As evening fell last night ICE continued conducting raids and protesters continued to tail them the entire time.
Last night the ICE agents seemed to just be aimlessly wandering around causing conflict, shoving random people off of sidewalks.
The even assaulted the city council presidnet of Minneapolis who was observering the ICE roving patrol.
The politicians in Minnesota are reassuring the public that there is NO statue of limitations on murder.
The Minnesota AG Keith Ellison explained a news segment that his office will continue to build a case against Jonathan Ross.
@nullagent and if Trump issues a pardon, like he has done before?
The US justice system is FUBAR.
In another distributing scene last night, a passerby saw ICE surrounding a young man in a parking lot.
The witness alleges that the man was on his knees while guns were pointed at him and agents demanded proof of citizenship.
Does that look like someone who voluntarilly gave into to an unconstitutional search to you?
The man turned out to be a US citizen, exactly as he said and is rightfully pissed to have been treated like a criminal for no reason. Teslls ICE right off.
Activist in Minneapolis are planning a "Day of Truth and Freedom" on Friday January 23rd.
They say no on should, work, shop or go to school to draw attention to the ICE invasion in Minneapolis + other parts of the country and the murder of Renee Good.
#DayofTruthandFreedom #ReneeGood #Strike #GeneralStrike #MineeapolisICE #Minnesota #Minneapolis
This is in part a state's rights issue, Trump cannot pardon him at the state level.
The state may have to wait for a federal case to complete first (or vice versa if they were cooperating, like in the case of Luigi)
@nullagent I have no hope that the system works at this point. It hasn’t worked for as long as I can remember.
The USA should be doing what is happening in Iran. And I wish that Russians were burning the Duma.
Meanwhile the beat just goes on and on, back at the federal building a familiar back and forth was seen again today.
Protesters wave signs, chant and heckle DHS agents protecting ICE & CBP goons coming and going from the facility.
Then DHS cops charge out, violently snatch a few protesters for minor infractions like blocking traffic all while firing off a hail of "less than lethal" ammunication.
📸 izicontreras via twitter
Amid the never ending videos of ICE violence another leak emerges.
This time a new leak is expected to beposted to icelist.is tonight. The team claims the data contains the identities of over 4000 ICE agents.
The website is suffering under the load of traffic and was unresponsive at the time I checked it.
If you've found value in this thread and want to support this type of citizen journalism on Mastodon the good news is you can help.
I have a ko-fi for myself and you can donate a few bucks.
It makes it a lot easier for me to find the time to dig through the court documents and cite as many of the sources I use as I can track down.
When people really dig into the details a know their rights & the reality it makes us that much harder to divide!
Solidarity for ever.
As I've mentioned I cite as many of the sources for video/photo & research content as I can.
Please do dig into the sources on these stories to support the on the ground journalists who are putting their freedom and health on the line to bring us these stories.
IF you know of local jail support needs please post them and let me know I'd like share. I see there were quite a few arrests today, I'm not sure if any will need bail support etc.
A horrifying story came out today of a young adult who attended an ICE protest in Santa Ana four days ago and lost an eye to ICE.
ICE agents shot him at point blank range in the face with a 40mm launcher.
The young man had to go through 6 hours of surgery and could have lost their life in this incident.
The ICE agents as usual used their "less than lethal" weapons recklessly and when you shoot someone directly in the face from inches away with a freaking grenade launcher I think that should count as attempted murder.
In Minneapolis tonight protesters have once again surrounded one of the hotels ICE where is lodging.
The noise demo made it to the front doors once again but tonight were met with a police line already form INSIDE of the hotel.
Local cops are once more directly protecting ICE.
There's original mastodon native reporting by @UnicornRiot in Minneapolis tonight.
So there's a reason we say ACAB, and we do mean ALL, is because of moments like this.
Why, on Earth are public University cops protecting an ICE invasion force?
What ICE is doing is counter to everything a higher education institution standa for.
I ask again, is it the case that the school budget is now protecting ICE instead of students and community?
Updates from streamers OTG in Minneapolis tonight indicate that local police pushed protesters away from the hotels ICE & CBP are staying in.
As of 15min ago there were sporadic arrests under unclear circamstances caught on camera.
The crowd near the hotels made the cops retreat a bit but now appears to have dispersed possibly for the night
📸 BGOnTheScene via Twitter
Back on the legistlative front cities, counties and states across the US seem to have suddenly found the will power to use their bureaucracies against ICE.
LA County is now consider formal rules that will bar ICE from using county property for staging unless they actually have a warrant signed by a judge.
And of course if they have a warrany LA County seems to be strongly suggesting to ICE that they should only be narrowly focused on the individuals actually named.
LA County has been reeling in the unnecessary shooting death of Keith Porter at the hands of an off duty ICE agent on New Years.
While Keith is not the perfect victim, he fired off a New Years gunshots in the air, this IS however a bit of an illegal American tradition in many parts of the country.
The off duty cop took it upon himself to murder Keith.
As much as I hate this dumb shit, many Americans do shoot off guns on new years. It'd be nice if no one died.

In congress today Ayanna Pressley introduced the "Qualified Immunity Abolition Act of 2026" which strips ICE and other Federal cops Qualified Immunity

Also today if I'm counting correctly a total of TEN Federal prosceutors resigned.
Four DOJ prosecutors resigned today and six US Attonery's Office Lawyers based in Minnesota also called it quits today.
They all say they have been asked to do unethical things. Like speed through the investigation into murderous cops Jonathan Ross or in the case of the US Atty's Office, inveistage Becca Good who survived the cop shooting.
A top Prosecutor appointed by Trump, Joe Thompson, resigned specifically because he said he wasn't allowed to investigate Jonathon Ross. But was instead told to investigate Renee Good's widow.
That crossed a line for him and he and several other lawyers opted to END their career instead of being a part of this fascist invasion.
Good on them.
@nullagent - absolutely wouldn't have happened if he was one of those white "good ol' boy" types who also fire off guns on nye.
@nullagent ICE is really playing with fire mutilating people like this.
@nullagent And yet the perpetrator was never disciplined, let alone arrested and charged with a crime.
Another day, another unlawful detainment of a US Citizen simply for recording ICE activity
A father was choked and illegally arrested by federal agents for exercising his rights to film police.
He was held for 9 hours and saw several other citizens illegally detained for the same thing.
Cops eventually released him without charges after his attorney got into contact with authorities.

@nullagent fuck. Well, I just opened Masto and that's enough for the day.
Up early to read the court updates and sadly Federal Court Judge Menendez is taking a leisurely pace and refused to put in place the TRO (temporary restraining order) against DHS today.
The Feds are expected to have a formal response by Jan 19.
State of Minnesota's reply is due Jan. 22.

This is very disappointing but not at all surprising.
It sounds unlikely that the court will act to stop ICE before the end of the month.
Video posted this morning at the Whipple Fdereal Building last night show ICE setting off "flash bang" grenades, teargas and mace as they violently arrest random people near the facility again.
This building is where countless US citizens have been illegally detained. We know these detentions are illegal because Federal and local prosecutors have hardly had any charges submitted for these individuals.

The politicians & judges aren't coming to our rescue this week. We're looking at at minimum a week+ of unopposed ICE snatching's of foreigners and citizens alike given the court schedule.
So I think the theme until the system decides to work has to be "we protect us"
Going to re-post some mutual aid requests from folks in Minnesota
First one is a legal aid request:

This one is for a man who was brutually assaulted by ICE agents last Friday in video that went viral all over the internet.
That man was homeless and lived in his car. ICE just showed up suddenly, beat him up and impound his car.
He's asking for help with legal bills, impound fees and housing.

@thelusciouslibra noticed this older mutual aid request from a family in St. Paul who needed help with legal funds & living expenses after one of the partners was snatched.
We don't really know what happened with this one but now that these issues are getting attention its important to check back in on some of these earlier victims of ICE.
IF you're looking to support a formal legal defense fund for Immigrants besure to checkout the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota:

Lastly there's the Minnesota Freedom Fund which operates a bail fund.
Bail funds and jail support are critical aidlines for the many everyday people who will come into police contact because of this ICE occupation.
The fundraiser for Renee Good's family hit $1.5M raised and stopped accepting donations just two days after Renee's death.
The last update on January 9th read:

In Minneapolis this morning there was a flood of viral video showing ICE in unmarked cars crashing into motorists at random and arresting the person before they can even understand what's going on.
Seems like ICEs latest tactics is to just bamboozable people and sort out the details like citizenship or immigration status later.
I'm sure they'll claim people rammed them so they "had to arrest them".

As usual, anytime ICE tries to patrol on foot the first Minnesotan that won't comply is the snow.
Latest submission for #ICEonICE
Breaking, Federal agents in Minneapolis have caused another shooting in the city.
Details are still emerging updates to come.
Early reports indicate that a Hispanic teenager was shot in the leg with live ammunition by ICE agents.
Governer Tim Walz was giving an emergency address right before news of this latest ICE shooting broke.
In his address Walz urged citizens to document everything ICE does. IF you see ICE in a mask, video tape them. If you see them without a mask, also video tape them. IF you see them standing around, you know the drill video tape.
Walz says they will pursue all ICE operations that break the law.
Right as Walz's address ended news of the latest ICE attempted murder began circulating.
I'm at a meetup right now, but checking on the OTG live streams I'm seeing massive clouds of teargas being released in residential neighborhoods in the North of Minneapolis.
Something tells me waking up to a cloud of chemical warfare agents is not going to win ICE many supporters.
"Have you ever wondered how good was so easily destroyed by evil in the past?
And thought to yourselves how ignorant and unaware those people must have been?
Well, look around.
Because the past is upon you."

Ok this is a pitched riot cop battle in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
I'm out of my event (at my next one) and taking a second to check in on comrades on the ground.
Looks like cops have abondanded vehicles leading to protesters capturing equipment and paperwork. Some of which indicating who ICE plans to snatch next from the community, strategic guides, hotels and tons of other internal comms.

Teargas and possible mustard gas deployements.
ICE, is rioting in north Minneapolis.
Alright in the light of morning more details are coming out.
It appears the initial ICE shooting incident occurred as ICE attempted to go door to door last night.
They came to a Spanish speaking household who refused to comply with illegal orders.
Instead the family called their local police for assistance.
Their side of that call was recorded and posted online this morning.
It'd be great if Spanish speakers could help fill in the context.
It's still unclear what exactly happened next.
So far it seems at some point ICE fired live ammunition through the home's front door and possibly into the second story of a home injuring two people.
Neighbors say the ICE shooting victim they knew of last night was a pregnant women.
According to community members initial shooting turned into a standoff as the family still refused to open their door for ICE.
After local police showed up ICE was still on the scene.
The combined fact of continued ICE presence, forced evacutations and the fact the woman was not receiving care clearly caused a lot of people to hurl insults at the cops.
Again, I was not OTG nor in MPLS so I'm piecing this together from online sources.
From a few accounts at somepoint ICE left the neighborhood partially on foot. It kinda sounds like the essentially fought their way out are attacked the crowd to create a hole or distraction to retreat.
What I can tell for sure is that after a crowd formed (largely displaced neighbors) and ICE watcher arrived ICE got scared and went rambo.
BORTAC units were scene attempting to do crowd control wearing night vision goggles and caring battle rifles.
As usual, civilians do NOT like cops dressed like an army.
They too were forced to retreat.
Neighbors who were forced out of their homes by ICE report being first told to evacuate.
But once they got in their car with their SIX children ICE turned their guns on the father and shouted confliting ordrs.
Ultimately ICE threw flashbangs and teargas INSIDE of the family's car whom they had just forced to evacuate.

Again, this video feels like a 2020 documentary.
The father explains that teargas was coming into their home which is why they HAD to evacuate.
Things like this, teargassing civilians who were not attending any protest but instead were literally in their home, likely asleep at the time is a 4th amendment violation.

Average people started showing up to the scene as the news spread through the neighborhood and city.
This entier interview feels like it could have been lifted right out of a 2020 time capsule.
Reporter ZDRoberts interviews a man who says this is his first time ever showing up to a protest.
He describes being at home and seeing this news and realizing he needed to show up for his community.

ICE actually at several times was overwhelmed by the crowd and you can see ICE and local cops retreating from various positions they took up after the shooting.

A blog post from folks who were on the ground last night just got posted.
In it they explain how ICE lost control of the scene and ultimately the crowd affected some dearrests as well as liberation of equipment previously used by ICE.
At least two ICE vehicles were decommissioned, a safe full of guns and ammo were liberated.
And most importantly significant paperwork revealing possibly the names of the murderous ICE crew who shot at a
As the aftermath of yet another ICE shooting was playing out on the north of Minneapolis, back near the airport at the Whipple Federal Building feds were quick to push back the peaceful crowd of protesters that has been there almost continuously since the shooting death of Renee Good.

@nullagent And they deliberately went into a Black neighborhood.
Revenge for 2020.
On orders from Trump.
@nullagent this guy looks like Paul Bunyan. And his name is Paul. Where is his ox?
“They threw piss, make sure to write that down!”
Before all hell broke loose last night a group of BORTAC cops were filmed complaining that the only warm welcome they received in Minneapolis was a bottle of urine kindly offered to them by the community.
Anywho, always remember, many protest succeed because at some point the cops won't have the moral to show up to work.

Trump today is defending ICE's actions last night and threatened to invoke the insurrection act.
Trump loyalist have pointed to the fact that US District court choose not to issue an emergency restraining order this week, making the likelihood of US court intervention before the end of the month a fantasy.
Local news station FOX9 had a decent explainer on Trump's threats this morning.

In response to Trump's escalation Minnesota Governor Tim Walz continues to appeal for the public to remain peaceful.
He said the same message in his address last night (which happened before the shooting) and reiterated it again this morning both in writing and by reposting clips from last night's address.
The young man who was shot in the eye by DHS police at point blank range is out of the hospital and gave a brief interview this week.

Meanwhile the chief of police in Minneapolis has taken to the Wall Street Journal to complain about how ICE is making ALL cops look like shit.
Its pretty clear that Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara is afraid that ACAB could apply to his department and is trying to distance his department from ICE's tactics.
Of course despite the fact that his department is frequently protecting ICE agents on the ground.

Here's first hand account of a Minnesotan who was illegally detained by ICE.
She describes ICE taunting and harassing her after arrest. The agents literally don't understand why we have not already been terrified away from protesting.
Take away is that these arrests are illegal, most protesters won't even be charged bc ICE has no legal basis to charge most citizens.

In yet another leak of ICE documents by a disgruntled cop there was reporting from Ken Klippenstein yesterday detailing some of the jailing and interrogation processes which the activist above may have been subjected to.

"Out of your homes into the streets"
That was a popular 2020 chant... I'm seeing the exact same conditions again this morning.
Interview after interview from people last night literally forced out into the street.
Leading to renewd protests on the ground today.
Its feeling like the protest flood gates are opening.
We're at the point now where real estate agents (you know, apolitical people who are adjacent to the ownership class) are detailing their illegal detention at the hands of ICE.
This is about as centrist as America comes, even the lilly white TikTok real estate agents are not safe.
They also know that ICE is an existential threat to their capitalist endevours.

Everyday Americans, like this real estate agent, really want our local politicians and cops to step up and protect their citizens from ICE.
Jacob Frey gave air to these reasonable requests last night, that local cops protect the city, and I think visibly conflicted reaction from Chief Brian O'Hara tells us all we need to know.
The local cops do not look remotely ready to meet this moment.
Back at the Federal Building the crowds are as big as ever there and of course very peaceful given the fascist operation taking place within the building.
Undisciplined ICE cops have been seen attempting to incite the crowd and prove confrontations today by randomly throwing teargas when there is no reason or apparent oder to do so.

@nullagent There's special interest to make people go violent against ICE agents.
The claim that the above video clip is AI was first started by Alex Jones. Do you really believe Alex Jones over Status Coup News?
The above clip was originally live streamed by a reporter for Status Coup News. The same individual is seen in many other live streams (emphasis on the fact I've seen this man over multiple days on multiple streams by various sources)
Here's a clip where he's in the background holding a sign consistent with his interview.
@nullagent I don't know what Alex Jones said, but the results of AI checks are obvious.
Early this week I saw community activist begining to raise the alarm about the rising risk of evictions in Minneapolis.
With ICE sntatching people at work or on their way to or from work its pretty clear ICE intends for this to be something of a racist ecnomic embargo.
MPLS Council man Jason Chavez has begun echoing those concerns and is starting to fight for an eviction moratorium in Minneapolis.

Head of CBP Bovino, was seen at the Whipple Federal building this afternoon looking like a tyrant's henchman.
He was gaurded by I guess his personal security. Which if they're trying to not look like a gaggle of undisciplined proud boys this is not help them beat the charge.
Bovino took to Fox news tonight to complie that not enough local cop resources were going into protecting his operation at the federal building.

@nullagent If anyone can get in touch with the people who run that site, can you have them add a button to download the whole database quickly? I haven't found a link to a JSON file yet and I don't want to waste resources crawling the site. I just want a single file I can share/archive.
It's happened again!
ICE / CBP has just shot and killed another Minnesotan this morning.
What was his crime? It sounds like he was legal gun owner and random woman being chased by ICE ran in his direction and grabbed ahold of him.
For this they tackled him.
He NEVER drew his weapon!
He did not approach any ICE officer, he didn't appear to wave a gun in his hand or anything like that!
On the ground CBP found he had a gun, took it, then shot him TEN times!
Here's the footage of today's murder by ICE / CBP agents.
In it you can see how EVERY single ICE claim about him being a terrorist or whatever is completely false.
RIP Alex Jeffrey Pretti
Who was Alex Pretti?
First off the last photo of Alex alive shows him holding his phone, bravely filming the police prior to his murder.
In his day-to-day life Alex was an ICU nurse who clearly cared deeply about his community.
ICE's frivolous attempts to slander this upstanding member of his community will not work.
Rest in Power
Alex Pretti

Finally a story out this week about cops protecting a random citizen from an unconstitutional ICE arrest . . .
There's a few... umm interesting details here I couldn't help notice.
Basically the person arrested seems to have been family friends of their local Police Chief in St. Peter. The police chief took it upon himself to contact ICE and directly picked up the kidnapped woman and returned her home personally.
On the one hand, amazing to see the cops finally "standing up" but also I hope you've got friends in high places I guess if you want the constitution enforced.
While I'm more of the ACAB crowd I think @mekkaokereke context both shows how "reformed" this police department is relative to others, but I think that only serves to further underscore the erosion of right's I commented on above.
Where does this put us in the US where the fact is becoming more clear to see... that some people will get a cop who responds and only "observes" ICE or just checks their badge and leaves... all while personal friends of cops get top service.
Unfortunately, most of America does not live under a police force which gets even as high marks as St Peter MN.
Most of the US is policed by law enforcement leaders who still see no issue at all with ICE killing civilians.
In Minneapolis anytime civilians go an inch further than where the politicians currently are willing to go to stop ICE they are immediately threatened and harassed by local cops.
In videos from Minesota locals this week, they showed how they were harassed by local cops for holding ICE block parties.
Communities are holding block parties in key locations allowing them engage in traffic calming which makes ICE agents uncomfortable about getting out quickly after abductions.
There's several groups posting online about various traffic calming protests in Minneapolis this weekend.
This flier explains the idea for the protest

Meanwhile in other supposedly Blue states the local cops are MORE than happy to simply observe ICE doing obviously illegal shit.
In a case from California this week a US citizen live streamed her illegal arrest all while local cops looked on and did not intervene.

Don Lemon is out and says he'll be right back to journalism as usuall after his unwarranted arrest for his on the ground coverage of ICE Minneapolis.
Hot off the presses, the ICE agents who murdered Alex Pretti have been identified as Jesus Ochoa and officer Raymundo Gutierrez. Both are cops with the CBP (customs & border patrol) and according to ProPublica have been named in government documents.
Incredible interview with Minneapolis city councilman Soren Stevenson who lost an eye to a "rubber" bullet shot at him by MPD during the Goerge Floyd protests.
"Truly, I see this as a moment when we are deciding right here in Minneapolis—in this country—are we going to have a democracy going forward, or are we not? The stakes are no greater and no smaller than that."
I reported a month and a day ago on the ICE shooting in Minneapolis of a Venezuelan who luckily survived the encounter.

Well this week we got new reporting from the mainstream media indicating that charges in that ICE shooting incident have largely been dropped.
Even the Trump DOJ admitted that the ICE/CBP agents involved lied about the circumstances so much that they have been placed on administrative leave.

The fact ICE hasn't really left Minneapolis seems like it needs repeating lately.
"ICE has trained agents to break the constitution" -Sen. Blumenthal
The long, slow, nagging arm of justice is at least getting some helpful whistle blowers now and US Senator's are working to build consensus to impose reforms on ICE.
See ICE lawyer turned whistleblower, Ryan Schwank's full statement from yesterdays hearing below on youtube 👇🏿
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6TrCEeJW0M
#RyanSchwank #Blumenthal #ICE #CBP #DHS #FuckICE #Trump #MAGA #acab
These hearings are definitely a key step in the right direction to reign in ICE.
Senator Blementhal's opening remarks do a good job to lay out how ICE is now completely breaking the constitution when they break into American's homes.
And tbf the Senators all really knocked it out of the park by providing a platform for ex-ICE employees to speak to the country about how the agency is operating internally.
One key part of Mr. Schwank's testimony is how he describes the pressures inside of ICE to go from hiring+training 500 cops per year to the 3.6k they did in 2025.
This has led to graduating EVERY trainee cop no matter how badly the failed in academic training exercises or preliminary real world patrols.
According to Schwank, legal instructors like him used to be able to fail a student and if the failed exams/training twice they could be kicked out.
The effect of ICE's lawless Minneapolis operations was not last on the lawyer's who testified.
Schwank specifically describes questioning an ICE cop in a different part of the country about their bad behavior during kidnapping operation. The agent plainly states to the lawyer that he saw other ICE agents hurting ppl in Minnesota and felt he should do it too.
