i do not like the new toot update and wish i could downgrade

i also do not like this “liquid glass” design language in general, it is horrible.

@ariadne I would love to try a phone with pmOS, but the problem is compatibility is so low… though you can say the same about Pixels and GrapheneOS lol

The Fairphone 6 is probably the best bet since it got a pmOS port immediately but it’s likely bleeding edge right now and it’s 900 Fucking Dollars

@ariadne what bothers me most is they did all this unnecessarily weird gui changes and introduced more weird quirky bugs into iOS and macOS rather than just fixing some stuff. Liquid Glass is taking something too far in the same way as the original “Aqua” design language of the earliest macOS X.

@ariadne Other than Liquid Glass being pretty much butts, what about the Toot update do you dislike? It was my favorite mastodon client for a while because it was just fun to use, but I haven’t used it in a while and didn’t even see it got an update (which would normally excite me)

@ariadne I never liked iOS's modern UI (from ~8+) and still hate any kind of 1:1 copy in the android world, they're just worse (looking at Xiaomi, OPPO, ..., now even google/AOSP is getting to it)
