So seems like my #Matrix homeserver hasnt been sending messages properly to other servers for days now.

Fuck this protocol, honestly.

Like I received other peoples messages, but nobody saw mine.

No errors, no nothing. I just thought I was getting ignored.

Solved by rebooting the VPS. Guess I'll do that every week now, then. What a fucking joke.

Yes, I am frustrated, considering this is partly my work tool.

I hate this feeling that I do not know when it'll break again.

@aks Yeah, it was a mistake for KDE to switch away from IRC to Matrix. I think more FOSS organizations will realize that sooner or later.

Oh well, could be worse: Could be using discord.

@kris IRC is terrible for realtime collaboration by modern standards.

@aks @kris yeah all the channels I care about are bridged to telegram and matrix so they didn't ... switch away, did they?

@aks If by "IRC" you mean libera.chat then I somewhat agree, but they are stuck 15 years in the past in regards to features available in IRCv3. Same goes for the Matrix-IRC bridge, that was designed for Freenode and hasn't been updated since.
