@famfo @eloy I mean, technically it's not rocket science.

You can either prepare rootfs in QEMU and then prepare the boot.img using mkbootimg and flash it onto the device, or install pmOS and then replace it with stage3 aarch64.

USB ethernet gadget, forward packets on your workstation to have internet connection and you're good to go

@famfo @eloy To be honest, it's not *that* stupid. I started using Gentoo in high school because I had a laptop with AMD Turion 64 X2 and HD3200 GPU, which had broken suspend.

I did few hacks which would never get merged into upstream (and it was my first ever kernel patch I wrote, so it was awful as you can imagine) but thanks to running Gentoo, I could just apply that patch on top of mainline kernel while building it.

Same idea applies to phones these days, they often need a lot of close-to-mainline patches or hacks, so running Gentoo would... kinda make sense actually
