What I heard every time one of my college professor told us most of us would fail their class.

@Sylvhem When I started high-school, our teacher told us "those exams are so hard nobody passes them on first try".
I blurted out "If students are failing tests after your lessons, it must mean you're terrible at teaching".

Never seen anyone turn red so quickly. He kicked me out of the class, proceeded to try to humiliate and fail me for the rest of the year. Problem was that it was a technical subject and I knew more than teachers who were (supposed to) teach me at the time akko_shrug

@otter Please, don't. You really don't want to turn people who can (and will) fuck you over into your enemies. My autism just spilled out back then.

I couldn't finish high school due to health reasons and I'm doing (mostly) fine as adult, but not everyone can be so lucky. I worked really hard to get to where I am, and yet I've hit walls in my career like companies not wanting to hire me (despite having knowledge they looked for, so their loss) or that I can't get a proper visa to Japan (even though I really want to) because my education is insufficient on paper.

Don't screw yourself over because you think it's a "sick burn". It's not, sometimes you shouldn't say truth out loud.

@elly @otter Perhaps it would be a good idea to write down/remember all these sorts of things and then say them all just before you finish school, at which point teachers have no more ability to fuck you over so it doesn't matter. (Although I don't actually do this myself, it's too difficult to not say things immediately.)
