I'd assume that VRC means "Volksrepublik China". Which is... not what Taiwan is. Taiwan is the Republic of China (ROC).

Or the people who made that menu are "actually what's currently claimed to be the PRC is Taiwanese". I could get behind that take.

@farhaven they were confused too! the english UI calls it Taiwan (ROC).

"Taiwan ([which is part of the] PRC)" would make some sense as a Beijing-aligned political statement, but... not if it's inconsistent like this.
