Can git.kernel.org please not have Anubis difficulty set to 5? It takes a very long time to solve on my old computer and certainly others too, and in general it shouldn't be needed.

lore.kernel.org is set to 4, so why set to 5 for git?

Most terrorists blow something up or murder a few people. ICE has a huge body count and has caused more damage to America than any other organized paramilitary group outside of the KKK (but let's face it—it's still the Klan, just with new outfits).

Whisper Pair is a vulnerability in most accessories implementing Google Fast Pair.

• Attacker can pair remotely when the accessory is not in pairing mode. Therefore, attacker gets to control the media playback and listen on microphone, when in range, trivially, with zero interaction from the owner.

• There is no way to mitigate this vulnerability. Most accessories do not have a way to disable Google Fast Pair. The only way to stop being vulnerable is a software update for the accessory’s firmware that patches it.

• If your accessory is not associated with a Google account, the attacker can associate your accessory with their Google account. This allows you to be physically tracked with Google Find Hub, indefinitely. You may receive a notification “You are being tracked by [Your Accessory]”. Do not ignore this; it is not a false positive.

• It is perhaps easier to stalk Apple users this way because they are less likely to already be using Google Find Hub.

One thing I learned while working on FOSS is to never take "not working" for an answer.

It's FOSS! You have the right to modify everything! You can try to get that thing working, even if you don't succeed, you can document what you tried so the next person can refer to that :D

So somebody took a couple of LWN's recent conference articles, threw them into an LLM blender with some other stuff, and produced ... this ...

...but it is not usable at the moment because Alpine's repo is broken :(
Once that's resolved, you can now install pmOS on any* loongarch64 device by selecting the generic-loongarch64 device with e.g. the os-installer interface, flashing it to a USB stick, selecting it in the UEFI and you should be booting right into the installer :)

Don't forget, LLMs are an attempt to rent-seek on things that are just basic cognitive abilities, providing you keep using those abilities.

Even ignoring all the other ethical problems with it (and you really shouldn't), do you really want to offload things like "writing", "reading", "drawing", etc, to the same kind of companies that have brought you great innovations like surveillance capitalism and the gig economy?
