And some constructive feedback on #Audio: I saw a user complaining about the Intros of recorded talks being too loud.

Did some measurements. (Perceived) Integrated Loudness compared:

▶︎ 1h Talk without Intro/Outro:
-24.1 dB LUFS
▶︎ 15sec Intro-Part:
-12.3 dB LUFS

Intro = nearly 12dBs louder than actual talk – that's a lot!!

For a more pleasant experience I'd recommend aiming for similar LUFS levels i.e. ≤6dB difference.

It's my first day on Mastodon, so I'm starting by introducing my cats.

In case you didn't notice, the U-Boot Secondary Program Loader (SPL) amlogic S905(X) support patches are now in U-Boot next!

I'd like to take this moment to thank everyone who got involved in this effort, I believe it was a collaborative effort and many people contributed to reach this goal. I'd be lying if I said it was a one-person effort. :)

No matter if it's small things like some hints on how things work, or writing the whole mkimage amlogic handling, or pointing me to old Amlogic u-boot sources, or taking the time to review my patches (suggesting cleanups along the way that, in retrospect, just made the patch series a lot cleaner), or offering to expense money on boards, or donating them, or just quickly testing on a few boards, or even just encouraging me to continue working on this, it all matters a lot to me and I think without any of that we probably wouldn't have gotten to this point.

Back years ago a U-Boot SPL port to replace the proprietary bl2.bin blob was unheard of, I never thought we'd go this far!

So thank you so much for your help, no matter how small, it really did and still does mean a lot to me.
