After a long discussion with @aelin today I got thinking about how much I've seen many of the TCs (and myself!) in #postmarketOS change, improve, and develop (both humanly and technically) through the last 3 years since we started expanding the maintainer base. It is incredibly fulfilling to see people making mistakes and learning and improving. We all mess up, we all have our incompatibilities, but it just feels good to be part of this team

@zekjur And I'd argue it's the same for IPv4 too, just most people got used to it while for IPv6 it apparently makes more sense to just turn it off.

@zekjur The main issue with IPv6 isn't IPv6 itself, it's the sheer number of ISPs that implement it really badly.

I cannot relate. IPv6 has been on in my home network since ≈2010 and I can’t even remember the last time I encountered an IPv6-related bug.

But I guess statements like this is what Jeff means when he says “*Cosplaying* as a sysadmin”?

Because if you throw your hands in the air over IPv6 (in 2026!), you’re definitely not a sysadmin I would want to work with.
