Is anybody interested in taking over maintainership of the Alpine Linux package, packaging libmegapixels as well and upgrading Megapixels to version 2? I'm the current maintainer and probably won't have time for this soon. I'm happy to review the diff in APKBUILDs though.

@jovial @WeAreFairphone yes, switching manually by entering fastboot does still work just fine. Just don't use qbootctl for that.

@WeAreFairphone @jovial Just FYI, LineageOS in this case was not the cause of the brick. The cause seems to be that qbootctl now bricks devices instead of switching slots: https://github.com/linux-msm/qbootctl/issues/4

Honestly, thank you all for warning about this .. I would be very angry if I had to return my FP5 *again* (mine got EDL bricked, but because of a half-done LineageOS upgrade..).

@kris @cmdr_nova It doesn't really feel like a "huge" downgrade either. I have an FP5 and would prefer the 5 over the 6, but simply because my usecase differ, e.g. I like the USB-C DP alt mode on the FP5 that they removed on FP6
