A funny thing about owning the domain memorable.website is that a lot of folks seem to not recognize the verbal string "memorable dot website" as being an address.
I get that, thanks to shit like the Omnibox conflating addresses and search, computer literacy about addresses has been lost, but it is strange, nonetheless.
More to the point, it's both funny and depressing that if I put "https://something" on a card or poster, a lot of people just don't recognize what that is any more. Search took over web addresses, and handles took over from e-mail addresses
Maybe I should call things like Mastodon's "@user@instance" notation for WebFinger-addressed ActivityPub actors a "social address," try to bring addresses back through sheer force of will.
