I’ve been increasingly avoiding Reddit to the point I don’t open it except to look at r/videogamedealscanada.
What else do y’all browse to learn interesting new things?
Basically, I’m looking for yet another site to scroll when I have nothing else to do, and don’t have access to video games, media, etc.
Trying to avoid YouTube as a habit ‘cause I’ve been there. Turns out the ADHDer has a really hard time with self-control and time management.
@maddy I honestly still use YouTube. Mainly for the tech/repair channels that interest me.
I try to avoid doom-scrolling on the home page...
@foxyloon Yeah, the recommendations are so trashy.
@littlefox Oh yeah, I heard about this the other day! Thanks for the reminder! 💜
@maddy tab is open since that flew onto my timeline here ^^
@maddy I browse the federated feed with a lot of filters and blocks. It’s not the best but it feels like everything else has become garbage. I still look at a few subreddits through RSS but I keep questioning why. They’ve all degraded into crap.
@maddy lol I have a Fediverse filter for that video platform, so Tusky hid my own post from me :D
I’ve spent a bunch of time loading up my RSS reader with interesting feeds, so I’ve got enough cool blog posts and articles from all around to read.
@banneduser Already do that with my ever-increasing Plex library.
Currently binging Star Trek Deep Space 9 at home.
@seabass I should give it a try. It might make YouTube bearable again!
