@portaloffreedom that's not really... feasible to be honest. Support for ARM ACPI in Linux is pretty much non-existent outside of Ampere (at least that was the case last time I checked)

@elly Are either... feasible at all? Like sure you could solder together whatever you please, but would it be possible to make any of this even boot without having an actual computer electronics company behind the effort?

@frela I'm actually surprised that nobody had done it before:
- AM4 and AM5 pinouts are public
- AMD Promotory chipsets are just PCIe devices/bridges
- You can buy SoCs on mouser (not cheap, but they're available to buy)
- Most AMD motherboards use Nuvoton SuperIOs connected over eSPI and Nuvoton just hands out datasheets if you ask nicely (complete opposite of ITE, hence why sensor monitoring/fan control usually works on Linux)

With Intel SoC you technically just build an interposer, make sure all voltages are okay and signal integrity and... off you go. You would need to reverse-engineer GPIOs (for example PWR_EN signals to DRAM VBUCKs) but that's trivial to do

@elly @frela How do you get Nuvoton to give you datasheets? I tried using the contact form on their website and they responded asking for a whole load of stuff I don't have (application, production schedule, quantity forecast, company name, ...) to which I responded saying I didn't have any of that and just wanted a datasheet, to which they didn't respond at all.
