Because I’m a weirdo and enjoy this sorta thing, I’m gonna do a full teardown (aside from the display assembly) of my personal Latitude 5440 over lunch break and give it a cleaning.

Laptop cleaning tip - Having done a deep clean on every returned laptop that has gone through my office, I’ve found that a (finger)nail brush works really well to dislodge stubborn debris in the keyboard and other areas without much risk of damage to parts.

A toothbrush works great too, but I sometimes find it’s not large enough or the bristles aren’t stiff enough for a job.

@gen I have run laptops as Proxmox nodes before with not terrible results.

@maddy I damaged my old X200's keyboard and trackpoint buttons while trying to remove the keys to clean it. That might've been a better idea than removing every key (although I'm not sure it would've been enough)
