@inlovewithpda hm, i hope it works better on GrapheneOS with the pixel... But i haven't any real problems (no signal, comdirect app works, sparkasse app not) on fairphone 4 / CalyxOS. For other apps we use a cheap samsung devices if something don't want to run.

@inlovewithpda if i had problems with a daily used app like signal i would also stay on the pixels... But i will switch to a shiftphone in a few days/weeks (waiting for the sent notification xD). I hope i never must use a device i couldn't repair again ;) (the fairphone 4 is the device of my wife)

@scops it seems to be a fairphone 5 issue. I also thought about the shiftphone...
I am so annoyed, so ouxel and graphenos is the safe bet. In the other Hand ... I now have a device to play with Linux on a Smartphone :)

@inlovewithpda I... don't get it? Nothing about the phone requires you to use the Aurora Store. I think you're disappointed with the OS instead, but you don't need a new phone to switch it. The default Android Fairphone ships comes with Google services and the Play Store, you really don't need a new phone for that...

@bart @inlovewithpda Unless you bought the Murena Fairphone, which does not have Play Store. But it doesn't have Aurora Store either. And you can flash FairphoneOS with no issues.

@inlovewithpda @bart TIL. But you can still flash Android FairphoneOS and get the gapps back if that's your problem

@inlovewithpda @bart That said I've been living mostly without gapps for a few years now, can't say I had any issues with Aurora on my Fairphone 5 (though I didn't use it much, I mainly used F-Droid for apps, and also just don't use my phone all that much)
