this is your official announcement that this bot will be shutting down at an unspecified date approximately 2 weeks from now until the foreseeable future. (this is outdated, see below)

this account will not be deleted, however, image attachments will continue to slowly be deleted until catching up with the last post before shutdown.

a snake game only has so much replayability. after a few games, the feeling of community coordination diminished, causing less players to vote, causing games to end much earlier from misclicks or no votes. i’m honestly surprised the highest score the snake has gotten in the past month is as high as it is.

thank you all so much for enjoying this bot, participating in the memories it has created, the ideas and feedback you all gave, and even the times the snake has died.

UPDATE: we have decided that we should allow the snake to complete one final game before shutdown, no matter how long it takes. once this current game ends, the snake bot will be shut down.

Thank you for the game. I have enjoyed this for a while.

But going forward and dying when there was a tied vote between right and left was really frustrating. Also moving when nobody had voted. I would have liked to see the poll rerun until there was an actual vote cast.
